i see so you don't set SL on each trade, you set an overall SL of 45% of the account, all trades close. so you in fact don't have a set risk per trade at all. thanks for clarifying. good luck.

Hi Iron pips,

Thank you for your compliments.

All other accounts are actually for spread and slippage difference,because it still varies by broker.
If you have for example IC Markets,I would recommend to pepperstone.If you see the difference in daily gain, which is just by the spread and slippage.Like yesterday pepperstone had more profit XM Account.But viewed per month is everything going equal.

Hello ozzie matt,

You say all the trades but open only one position.
So it's a hard stop,you just do not see it on the chart.Sometimes I'll go over the 45% drawn down but I am quite sure it is going to the Take Profit. It all depends on the signal what I got.

I see so you only have one position open at any one time, and therefore with a 45% limit for drawdown you effectively risk 45% each trade maximum risk. You also state that sometimes you go over this 45% drawdown level so it's not an EA protection you run i.e. automatic it's discretionary on your part, but you don't leave trades open while not in front of the computer, so are watching screen the whole time? My concern would be if we have another flash crash and you haven't set a hard SL per trade, you will wipe your account if you are trading 3.9 lots on a 4,000 euro account.

So by way of example let's say balance is 4,000, 45% drawdown is $1,800, so on your last trade open at 3.90 lots this would have meant a move of 52 pips against you would have wiped out that 45% limit, if you had a very fast move like a flash crash, it would take a move of 117 pips to wipe out the account. moves of 117 pips aren't even that large, and can happen in an instant.

But I do wish you the best of luck and will follow your progress.
