Sensex, Nifty Subdued In Early Trade
(RTTNews) - Indian shares were slightly lower in cautious trade on Tuesday, tracking mixed cues from global markets.
The benchmark BSE Sensex slid 164 points, or 0.2 percent, to 83,814 after Federal Reserve officials offered mixed signals about future rate cuts.
The broader NSE Nifty index was down 60 points, or 0.3 percent, at 25,700.
Power Grid Corp declined 2.6 percent on reporting a 6 percent fall in quarterly profit.
Gland Pharma lost 3 percent despite reporting a 12 percent rise in quarterly profit.
Hero MotoCorp tumbled 3.5 percent after it reported an 8 percent decline in domestic sales for October.
Adani Enterprises, Mahindra & Mahindra and One97 Communications were modestly higher ahead of their earnings results.
Titan Company gained 1 percent as it reported a 59 percent year-on-year increase in its quarterly consolidated net profit.
Vodafone Idea climbed 1.2 percent after the Supreme Court clarified its stance on Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues.
Bharti Airtel rallied 2.5 percent after it reported a more than twofold jump in consolidated net profit for the September quarter of FY26.
