I actually paid the author to get the source codes for several of these EAs, and that’s how I found out what’s really going on. The backtests look amazing because they’re run as “strategies” in MT4, and the code is full of look-ahead tricks — it can see future prices, so of course the results look perfect. But when you run the same thing as a real system on a live account, performance crashes, drawdown goes through the roof, and you just lose money. They’re selling a dream built on fake tests.
