That considering that market will give 3:1. Often it does not and there is a lot of exceptions. There is no substitute for trade management. sometimes it can be 1:1, sometimes 3:1, 1.5:1, 5:1. but having target smaller than risk relying on higher hit rate is a total BS. I would also add that it is very difficult if not impossible to manage trade on small TF. Speed of the moves is such often there is little time to think and price action is anything but orderly.

I hope it will spike before droping to give some chance. I think there has been overall large surplus in oil production including USA, but it was done in anticipation of economic growth which has not come. The crude is down so much not because of Saudis, but 1. Economy worldwide isi poor shape and getting worse = demand is not there2. Too much oil on the markets now. So, supply destruction via price down trend. Weak hands will leave the game.

Indexes are going nuts. I am short both Russell2000 and S&P500. Not the first time. should have stayed with my original position which was above 2000s. hope it will develop into some substantial move.

Supply destruction takes time. People are being laid off. Yes, Iran is coming, so I believe this will add pressure on Canadian and American projects existing and potentially coming. Iranian oil is cheaper to extract. Saudis, Russia and Iran can take it as their oil is far cheaper costs wise. Fracking is being run on debt.

If I am not wrong oil already tested 29.70. I am not interested until there will be good pull back. but watching. I am waiting.

Yes, I am waiting for meaningful pull back. We cannot be sure that oil will drop much further. It is one probability. Hence, it is better to wait for better price in this case. I missed my chance. Shorted at around $42.50., But got spooked when price did not even touch previous multi weekly low and came back to my entry. basically it is a good idea to let price come back once as it might be only temporary pull back just like it happened. Meanwhile I am trying to get something form other trending markets. I guess I would be good idea to change this thread name as I am no longer trading only oil...

Supply destruction which is what will bring oil up again... But it takes time. It is down trend now. I am not interested in oil at these levels though. i am watching gas and other markets. I am not stuck on one market.

Definite possibility. I am looking for meaningful pull back to enter. so far nothing. But then it might go back up to $100. It already happened once.

NFP Friday. I am out of all trades. Looks like some trend moves are overextended. Hopefully NFP Friday might help to get on at better prices.

if you want low spread and good execution go futures broker if you have enough funds. It is called E7 on futures market. Dorman trading is definitely a good choice.

I am currently working on long term trend following approach so, it will be interesting to see how things will work. It is slow. Entries are easy, it is exits that make money. Another things is what to trade and what not to trade.
Low time frame trading vs. High time frame trading.

I am working on weekly TF trend following. I find it with proper trading size management it is the safest way to go and weekly trend is definitely the most reliable.

Check Dorman Trading. Never had any issues. It is futures broker though.

I might be wrong. But oil looks like looking to make new lows. Looks like consolidation for break down. Inventory news is excellent time either to hit stops or to break some level.
