Well yes but tickstory is not part of mt4 but
3rd party paid product.

Anyone know if there are any plans for an MT6 or maybe MT4+ which has the features of MT5 but MT4 coding? It seems that most people still prefer MT4

Forget about mt4, development is being abandonded by crapware metaquotes company

Maybe in near future; but till now mt5 is struggling by comparing the popularity of mt4!

Metaquotes should just abandon MT5 and go back to updating MT4. They need to face reality that Mt5 has not been a success. Go back to what people like and use incremental updates over the years

Yes but I think they would push mt5 by force instead

Being a Forex trader, I only use MT4. It’s really good in terms of its simplicity and flexibility.

I find MT4 very user more friendly. May be it is because I am accustomed to using MT4. But there are many who like MT5 as well. It's all about what you are comfort at.

- a lot of programs and code developed already
- huge base of brokers to select from
- sucks at backtesting

- not easy to learn programming, old MT4 code does not work in mt5

I prefer trading MT4 over MT5, as I am more comfortable and find it user friendly.

I agree that MT4 is the best trading platform to trade forex. Whichever forex broker I use, it is only MT4 that I download.

I have only used MT4 so far. I never felt the need of changing the platform. It’s so easy to customize it and execute trades.
