I project BTC price to be 2,00,000 USD per BTC by end of 2018.
What does that mean? 2.000.000 USD or 200.000 USD? BTC was never around such prices, but yeah, until 2027 it could go up to 200k; that's still possible.

Talking about bitcoin, it will only grow in the future.
I was wrong in predicting the BTC price timelines may be by 2 to 3 years, because if price of BTC continue to grow in same rate, then we can expect an easy 100K to 200K per BTC shortly.
But short or long pull backs might be expected around 29K, 45K, 58K, 80K and 95K.
95K to 97K might be a strong resistance before breaking through the 100K mark per BTC.
Note that the prices of BTC usually follows a exponential growth pattern and not a linear pattern when it is free from too much government influence, attacks, regulations etc.
It means the BTC price pattern can follow like this 20K, 40K, 80K, 160K, 320K, 640K and finally reaching the 1 M USD per BTC price mark.
So basically 7 steps away from 1 M USD per BTC. This 7 step can be 7 days, 7 Weeks, 7 months or under worst case 2 to 3 years.
NOTE::: This is not any financial advice and never invest anything in BTC which you can't afford to loose. You must be ready to handle any price pull back when you buy BTC. I said it multiple times in this thread since last 4 years in my other cryptocurrency thread and same is true now also. You invest only what you want to keep in BTC for lifetime and don't care whatever the price of BTC will be since in future most probably you will not want to sell your BTC whatever price it may be, because BTC might be the only universal reserve currency for the world.

You explained your position very clearly. I agree with you in most of the statements. It probably makes sense to buy bitcoin, but not for the purpose of speculative income, but as an investment in the future currency of the world. What if, in fact, after some period of time, the price of bitcoin will be equal to one bitcoin. It makes you think.
So my first target of 40K per BTC has been hit as per exponential price growth expectations.
Next, price targets for BTC are as follows 80K, 160K, 320K, 640K and finally reaching the 1 M USD per BTC price mark.
We can expect pull backs of course in the mean while during 80K to 95K before crossing 100K mark.

Is it not too late to invest in BTC? Or would it be better to look for other crypto?
Trading is a marathon, not a sprint.
I think; 2019-2020 will be same as like 2018; I mean no impulsive move; then 2021-2022 will be for the buyers only.
I AM
I wish I would have an opportunity to get back into 2017 when btc was lower than 2000$. As for nowadays, I allege that by the end of 2022, bitcoin can reach 100k$. Such a conclusion I made after reading plenty of articles of various well-known economists and professional traders. Nevertheless, we should note the fact that such statements can increase the amount of investments in btc and it can sharply go down. Anyway, if we see the negative dynamic we usually give our money back and there are new opportunities to invest them back for other traders. Everything is mutually connected and I guess btc will reach high points.
