I'm following someone on ZuluTrade that has a winning percentage of 94%. I'd sure like to know how he does it. I've never been able to get close to that.

That is impressive. How much has he earned so far with such a high win %?

I'm not sure what his actual balance is, but his profit is $4,725.70 since Oct. 8 2012. He's a scalper so his winning positions are usually around 10 pips. Also, Zulu is quick to point out these are 'hypothetical' results. That's still an impressive winning percentage.

They show a dollar amount too, right under the pip count.

Well, in the tradehistory they show $ amount for every singel trade. If people are willing to add up hundreds of trades themselfe, they can certainly do that. But it still doesn't tell you anything about the risk that provider is taking since you don't know the original deposit or the current balance of the account.

Zulu statistics are quite different form Myfxbook. They give you some info so you can pick a provider, but not so much that you might learn something to improve your own trading. They want you to stay with Zulu after all, so some vital information is always missing.

info: Please wait for an Operator to respond.
info: You are now chatting with 'Jorge'
Jorge: Welcome to ZuluTrade Online Support Service. My name is Jorge. How may I assist you please?
you: Здравствуйте!
you: can I chat with russian seport?
Jorge: Please accept our apologies; our Russian support is currently unavailable. Would you like me to assist you in English instead?
you: ok
Jorge: I will be right with you.
you: я смотрю на профиль трейдера, например: Kama-spot.
you: I look at the profile trader, for example:
Jorge: Sorry i do not speak russian
you: I look at the profile trader, for example:Kama-spot
you: in his management of $ 7,598,776
you: but if you look at the profit of his followers, it is a few hundred $ ..
Jorge: You are right, i mean many open just micro or mini lots
you: and real followers of a few hundred ..
Jorge: That means they are quite conservatives
you: this means that the sum is displayed as a manager, this is not. he can really manage. and just the whole balance of all its real followers.and access can be 1-10%?
you: $ 7,598,776 - the total balance of followers, and without setting limits?
Jorge: You are right! It is just the balance
you: in reality, when the balance of 100 000 $, but if the setting is a follower of one lot or one order. then Kama-spot may only use funds for 1 lot. although these $ 100,000, fully accounted for $ 7,598,776?
Jorge: No, those 100,000 are leveraged to 1:100
you: This means, in reality, the $ 7,598,776 he can have access to only $ 100?
Jorge: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.
you: For example: I have a $ 10,000 account, I am a follower Kama-spot. but I put the setting to open only one warrant 0.1b only the euro-dollar. means it can be used for example on the euro dollar.but it has all of my $ 10,000 included in the $ 7,598,776
you: in reality, He can only access $ 135 of my money
you: am I right?
Jorge: You are right!
you: why did he state the amount of $ 7,598,776?it does not reflect reality. if we consider all limits, it may be a hundred times smaller
you: all limits/settings..
Jorge: That;s correct
Jorge: How may i help you?
you: $ 7,598,776 - fake?
you: why not show the actual amount, given the constraints?
you: limits/settings
Jorge: Because it is hard to calculate
Jorge: we give the balance
Jorge: and no further claims are made\
you: it is not real in relation to the trader. because it takes into account all traders who have signed a follower?
Jorge: It takes in account all accounts
you: If I signed a three traders, everyone will have to balance my 10 000?
you: in there Amount Following
Jorge: Theirr balances will be added
you: each?
Jorge: everyone will be having your amount added
Jorge: 10.000 more
you: ok. thank you.
Jorge: Thank you for contacting us. We welcome your feedback: please click here to fill in the Exit Survey as this will help us become better in what we do. Have a lovely day ahead!

Don't forget that a winner % is easy to manipulate with partial closing (thats not how we reahced 97% though ;-)

The most important stat to me in forex is % change. Everything else is just fluff. As in the case of people who earn 1000 pips a week. Yet only profit 1%. I on the other hand have profitted negative 1100 pips and am up over 200% The reality is anyone who is serious about forex will look at the % change of the person making the trades. Nothing else matters.

Here is an example as to why compounding doesnt work. The following link is to a site much like this one. This trader https://www.fxjunction.com/profile/SCopier has made over 11k% profit. Which is 1000% true. Yet, he compounds like crazy, and he has blown over 6 accounts since displaying his account value. Of course he deposits small amounts of funds and aims for the moon. Yet, he could never be a PAMM manager as you can tell from his trades he is more of a run and gun trader, then a chartist. With everyone on the site knowing that. Look how many people are following him. :) People just want to see % change. Nothing else.

Yeah, Zulu only calculates closed trades into the stats. So you could theoretically leave a losing position over forever and it'll never show up. This is especially true when you're trading a demo account and have nothing to lose...

I have to correct you on that one. They did that untill sometime last year if I remember correctly. It lead to many providers doing exactly what you said. They opened endless trades, left the loosers open and had 100% profitable trades. When the market made an unexpected strong move and didn't come back many investors lost all they had.

Zulu finally realised they had to do something to prevent those manipulations and the system. They started to include the open trades and suddenly all the immaculate graphs of those 100%-profitable-providers had big nasty slashes.

Zulu has added some more safty-features since then but I still woundn't trust it. Every now and then I stop by there to see whats going on and I learned that even the best providers last only for so long. Sooner or later they blow there account and dissapear.

Why must you wish bad on a person? Are you upset that you can not be successful trader?

Excuse me but I'm a little confused here. When exactly did I wish bad on a person and who might that person be?

I'm just sharing my experiences. I thought that's what this side is for.

You can invest all your money on Zulutrade or wherever you want. But I wouldn't do and I don't recomend it.

Wishing bad would qualify as you saying 'Eventually he will lose his money' How is that a nice thing to say?

There is no such sentence in my post. I really don't know what you are reading into it.

I just stated what I have expierienced and witness in general over and over again for more that two years. Sorry, if you don't like to hear the truth.

Besides, I didn't affront anyone specific, you on the other hand ...
