No doubt, there have so many successful Forex traders in this forum! So traders, what’s your opinion on this issue? What is the 1st step for newcomers? Technical or Fundamental? Yes, I know both are important, but now I am interested to know your opinion on this issue! Please share your opinion here!
All of professional Forex traders are using both kind of market analysis! But, you don’t need to start with both of them; technical analysis is relatively easy! So; you can start with this one; then gradually you have to improve your trading skill on the fundamental analysis.
Most people do begin with technical analysis. However, it's not a good idea to put off learning the basics of fundamental analysis for too long, so as to be able to avoid certain events at the very least.
I have never seen any successful trader with only technical; they are always with a combo trading skill by technical & the fundamental.
One certainly needs an understanding of both in order to be successful. You can't rely entirely on technical analysis.

80% fundamental,20% technical this is what professional hedge funds use, price needs a reason to move, very little to do with technical's ,confirmation and entry point come a second.

If you trade manually, better to look for both, Fundamental & Technicals.

Wow, is that really true? I have been 100% technical and have ignored fundamental until now. What about short term trading? Still need fundamental for that?

Professionals don't stare at the screen all day long looking for a technical setup, why should you, just not the way the market works, As Traders we need something to push the price around otherwise its mostly noise intraday especially on the majors, If your scalping on 1 min time frames not much need for fundamentals:)

Don’t ignore the fundamental; it’s the key here! I am sure, you’ll get more profits if you add the news analysis in your list.
