Regarding to the drawdown: The profit and balance curve has nice smooth upwarding trend. Could it be that drawdown is calculated from the pips earned and not from the money earned or compound gain? I mean, pipswise the profits are in read - weekly, monthly and this year. This could be a result of trading style where more likely positive outcome (position) gets a bigger bet (or will be added to later) , and initially the trade is opened with a small lot size. Thus with a small initial investment the trade can be kept longer open in hopes that it will reverse, and end up being profitable trade. Occasionally, this will end up in mega losses in pips but not inn $$

The calculating systeem indeeds sucks, my EA is just making profit with more pips then negative pips, overall it now made from 1000 to almost 6000! so almost 6 times in 14 months i think that is a prestige itself

Yeah. Yours is good. I think the goodness of the system should be judged by visual observation, where the better system has an upwards trending smooth curve in profits. I think probably the metrics of the curve should be standard deviation, which is calculated from profits.

My DD is getting lower little by little as my trading is improving. TBH, I don't know how it is calculated and how it behaves. Seems that some systems have highly discontinuous DD numbers, mine is somehow converging to a smaller percentage.

Except high DD, it is also martingale.
Such system does not belong here, nobody knows when it crashes

How can you spot a martingale system without seeing the exact log of trades? Is the green profit line and pips in red a proof of it?

One can get a nice smooth profit curve, too, by day trading or positional trading (the latter by cost averaging)..

Normally martingale hardly survives 6 months.

You can get that even with hidden history

But I see, there have few traders are successful by that strategy; but as you said; it’s very rare.

Prolly it would be better to program in an EA a dead man switch supposedly something like 20-50 pips out of the open price? In order to prevent a catastrophic failure and a shutdown of EA just after that?

It seems you have a problem reading or understanding. Let me help you. The original post says DD shouldn't be more than 40%. Your DD is 49.61%.

That means you should not post that account here.

Hi there.

There are threads where you can go advertise your trading accounts, but with stricter rules.

I would like to invite traders to show off their accounts here if they pass certain criteria.

The criteria :

1) The account must be real - no demo's. (please do not argue here that it is the same as a live acc. etc - the idea is not to engage in any arguments)
2) The account must be verified (please do not come and defend your unverified-but-want-to-participate account - there will simply be no interest)
3)DD must not be higher than 40% - (please. Once again. No justification for your above 40% dd, if it is higher - don't participate)
4)The account must be older than 3 months, maybe this is even still too young.
5)No martingales! (it might work for you, and I do not want to engage in an argument - just please keep to yourself and don't participate)

That's it. Only these five things. If your account passes that, feel free to let others know. There will be those that are disgruntled they cannot participate and will try to justify their way of trading, please ignore them - if it works for you, then great - maybe start a new thread and invite others trading that style to participate. - As I said, this place is not for arguing, it is for displaying accounts that potential investors might want to follow based on the criteria above. This thread is not intended to badmouth other trader's ways.

Your EA trade high risk Grid strategy that is why you blew your trading account. If you had kept your drawdown below 20% you may still survive with your strategy.

The market will trade through it’s path of least resistance .

If you want to have a solid criteria, add also difference with Abs. Gain and Gain because as you know there are a lot of systems that are adding money to their account so it won't blow up and keeps DD low, a lot of newbies dont see that.

Yes, that EA actually I build my own. Tested with 99% quality on 1 pair with 5 years data and it survive. Then, i start to run on real account. 8 months I got the result same as backtest, but suddenly it blown my account. I backtest also the EA and it is blown also the same date. So, 5 years data is not enough actually.

My demo more than 6 months:

small profit rate/small draw down: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/thibd/mt4-12339148/2697975

big profit rate/big draw down: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/thibd/mt4-12339148/2697975

And now is my real account (small profit rate/small draw down). I expect it would follow demo account:
