Lack of discipline and running into scams are for sure frequent reasons why someone quits, but I think the biggest reason is when people go into trading with false expectations - they either treat it as a method which will make them rich quickly, or they want to have a high ratio of profit and forget about what that means in terms of risk, or they are simply not aware of their goals and their risk tolerance.
Besides discipline, Many traders don't have proper knowledge about trading. That is one of the most important reason to lose money in this market.

Yes. Proper knowledge is very important to reduce the losses.
Only good trading knowledge cannot brings profit regularly. Besides trading knowledge you have to focus on money and risk management which is the key to success in Forex trading.
To be honest, I would not rate this statistic so negatively. In my opinion, a lot more traders can get profit than 10%

People are greedy and tend to trade with emotion. That why they fail.
Well, I think the statistics are not so negative. Also, quite a lot depends on the broker. For example, when I started working with a broker, I worked with a demo account, got experience and the results became better.
90% losers from this trading place , because most of the traders take this market place as money making game without any kind of learning.

People don't want to stick with it once they realize that it's actually difficult. I think in a lot of cases influencers convince them that they'll have lambos and women hanging off their arm and romanticize it to draw them in....then they blow their accounts (usually because of a lack of knowledge) and move on to the next thing. Others get attracted because they want to give themselves or their family a better life so they have good intentions but just don't know what they're doing. If people spent more time educating themselves and practicing before jumping in, I think that more of them would be successful.

I think many traders lose their money because of their low knowledge.
Many make mistakes in the process of work, but do not want to work out the methods of solving them, for which they receive losses.
Yes lack of knowledge but mainly risk management
@croisssan Yes learning from the mistakes is the great way of learning. But people do not want to learn from their mistakes. Even they do not think deeply about their mistakes.

Those who do not learn from their mistakes suffer losses over and over again for the same reason.

And also because of their greed, everybody wants to make money instantly but no one wants to work upon them or learn trading.

Because people fail to understand this is a profession. I would think if you could have a go at brain surgery straight away without any learning or practice you'd have a worse than 90% death rate.
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.
