Without a plan indeed its an addiction. Gambling and investing/trading has a very thin line which can be breached very easily.

It depends on how you take it, if you will overtrade then it can become an addiction whereas if you will trade according to the ongoing market with a proper plan then definitely can get profits.

Of course, gambling and investing are two different types. Trading involves a combination of plan and discipline.

Forex trading can be really addictive because of the 24/7 convenience. Often considered as an easy path to success, a lot of traders exhaust their capital in greed to earn more in a short span of time.

Greed is the most dangerous enemy of a trader.

I think that anything we do with great passion can become our addition. There’s a very high probability of getting addicted with Forex trading especially you stated earning well from the very beginning. It could be just a lucky coincidence but I think that after this a person will not be able to quit this thing and he or she will try it over and over again.

I think that trading can become an addiction, the same way that other things can become an addiction but aren't when done in moderation.

Forex is not an addiction. It's a journey of learning and growth for those who are sincerer about trading.

Traders like to purchase signals for trading. Don’t get entrapped by signal selling syndicates.

Fx trading doesn’t have to be addictive. It depends on how the trader views the market and their responsibilities towards earning the required profit. They need to maintain discipline and focus as they learn and grow.

Actually many traders, especially beginners, do get addicted to trading, even if they are facing constant losses.
But you can fix this problem by assigning a fixed period of time in your daily schedule to trade. Try to make this time as the London-NY Crossover time period.
Also, meditation helps a lot in aiding you to focus. Try meditating.

Forex trading is not an addiction. But when newbie traders start making money, they run the risk of becoming addicted to trading. However, this problem can be solved by gaining an understanding of trading psychology.

You have to figure out what's troubling you and what's making you overtrade. Beginners do overtrade, so focus on developing discipline first before trading. Mindfulness activities help in that case too.

Activities that people enjoy can turn into addictions. For some, forex can also act as an addiction.

Hey, that’s not true. There are many profitable traders who are shaping their lives with forex trading. Forex gets addictive or gambling mentality develops when you see it that way. I’m not saying that you will profit quickly but if you work hard and remain disciplined, there are more chances of success.

Disagree with this. It isn't pure gambling, traders make decisions based off of knowledge and other factors. Yes, sometimes those educated guesses may be wrong but you don't just go betting on nothing hoping for luck.

I'm new here and wanna add that it's a valid concern, especially if you feel like you can't stop trading even when you're losing. While I'm not an expert in this area, I do think it's important, to be honest with yourself about whether or not it's becoming a problem. If you feel like you can't stop trading, even when it's causing you financial or emotional harm, then it might be worth taking a step back and reevaluating your priorities.
I think this addiction is something like becoming a pathological liar https://fherehab.com/learning/pathological-lying-disorders . You cannot control yourself and you will lie to yourself that you are in control. Of course, it's also possible to enjoy Forex trading without it becoming an addiction. It's all about finding a healthy balance.
