The Martingale strategy, is an effective technique to make trading in forex? According to you what type of account you should open by applying this strategy to be successful? And with how much money should I start? Someone using this strategy in a successful way? I have used this technique to the casino with $ 10 and once I came home with $ 110, even if it would work with forex would really not bad ;)

Not a bad idea if done right. But the martingale is like a high performance engine, it can over power trading that doesn't have a powerful money management structure. As it happens, I'm writing a book on the subject, that's why your subject heading caught my attention, however, you can get a little more information from our research site. There is nothing to buy on this web page, just free information about our research. I think it could help you, that is why I felt compelled to recommend it to you. forex-assistant.com From one researcher to another, Good luck with your search and yes, its worth it. Bob

Of course,

Please understand that the reason people believed things like martingales don't work or that it isn't safe is because martingale was a mathematician and the rules for mathematics are very strict. Unfortunately most traders are gambles, not mathematicians and they just were not using these systems properly..

We have a whole new way to trade that is neither technical (uses no indicators) nor fundamental (uses no news reports) it is being called systemic trading but this type of trading can not be done by humans alone it requires a computer to work in conjunction with the trader. The combination of human and computer is simply called cyborg trading which is not a trading system but any system that requires both human and computer to function.

By the way that ketambatu thing above is not a martingale of any type not even a modified one, probably just someone spamming the board.

To make it work you really need a cent account (like you did) and be careful with your risk management.

Seriously DD arrive so fast and can be deadly! I can't believe anyone serious would put a full account of 10k or more and risk it on such dangerous strategy...

The only possible / gamblish way I can think of is withdrawing partial profit every month/week until you get your initial back and hope that it won't explode before :/

no matter how experienced your analysis, there is no way can be 100% sure. it could be 60% , 50% or 40%..then martingale actually has more edge in some cases. but of course not everytime
