Hi Guys

Newbie here so sorry if this sounds like a dumb question. I have been using trading view and used the 'Switch position' feature that changes your trade from long to short and vice versa.

If you are in an existing trade and you switch the trade from long to short I am assuming your broker will still charge you to do this? I didn't see any fees been charged on trading view and thought it was strange. Would be great if it was free but I think that's just wishful thinking.

My strategy is more options based and I want to be long above my strike price and short below it. I can see that the spot will bounce around a fair bit on any given day on the desired strike price so chasing the market to get it positioned correctly could take a several attempts. Over a 5 -10 day period this could literally be hundreds of trades entering and exiting long and short positions. Clearly not feasible the brokerage would deteriorate profits very quickly.

Just not sure how to do this - thanks in advance for your replies

Rich

As far as I am aware this is just a view and doesn't impact any live trades. My understanding is that it is a useful view that simply helps those who find they have a bias of only spotting long trades vs short trades. I believe it just inverts the image so that price increases top to bottom instead.
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.
