Well, I don't know. Flash crash last year was a tad messy. Not to mention 2008 .... As long as you are able to get out alive, it's all good. I'm sure there were some seriously messed up accounts the other day.

We have NAV stops, hard stops.
We're more at risk from multiple start failures than from continues trading. If we have restart once in 6 months I can live with it.
The chances of having a failure on a restart is slim, so at worst if things do go wrong we'll most likely have the NAV trending sideways for a while.

I read some posters stops were slipped big time the other night - like over hundred pips in some cases. They did a fine job ..... whoever they were. It just reminded me, once again, why low leverage is king.

If it ever comes to that Patience I'll take it.
Our NAV stop takes into account the cost of the trades, so if the cost forces the portfolio to lose value we'll close out at the higher cost, doesn't matter, long as the account is protected.
And if the markets are then in a state of extreme volatility we just stay out till it all goes away.

Going into this GBP news event in about 3 hours waaaaaaaay to heavy....so another smack is quite likely.
And at pretty hectic levels on the daily. Very likely to see a lot of volatility today, it's big bar territory this...

You have the most cock eyed logic in the world hey, why after 6 years EA development would I hide it if I am using one? You want to know why I'm not using one? It's not worth writing it for $100, were spending $1000's on the API, that where the foucs is. Not going to mess around with a crappy EA....just to much time and nuicance value...

And just for information.
My VISA is issuing tomorrow, so I would expect to fly anywhere from Sunday, so I will be forced to close out tomorrow and take any draw down there might be or not be...
When I come back in a few months I will decide what to do about this lot. Just in case you think it doesn't update for months because I'm trying to avoid a DD. My MT won't be on...caphice?

Have to register a separate MT4 enabled account and then there is the trade size issues and synchronization problems. I have no interest in MT4 and certainly not going to use my limited number of O accounts for it.
On top of that I would have to put virtual environments onto the linux server and so on...so no, not even a consideration.
I do O API and that's that. Not spending that kind of money to stuff around...maybe one day when O gets that API sorted.

Yes, you're probably right. Who gives a ... rat's backside anyway 😁
Chances are by the time you get back, oil will be $300 a barrel and gold above $2000. We'll also see a sharp fall in equities soon. Currencies will tank heavily. Every currency on G-D's green earth. Except the Zimbabwean dollar maybe. That one has nowhere to weaken anymore.
And if you're feeling a little tired, stressed, bored of all this goddamn goop ... yeah I know ... but treatment is simple ... the great clown is in town ... that should pick you up. 😁 😁 😁
Enjoy your chill.
