dont worry boys; there will always been new EAs to keep you all trading, excited and profitable!

I trade a variant of FGB strategy; that I have modified quite a bit. However; I need to somehow commercialize it.

One day I will do it.

fx_raptor: i had a look at his trades. it is not FGB style.

It is an anti-trend strategy. but it is interesting; worth investigating.

I have added that fellow to my EA watch list.

fx_raptor:

since Spytrader is using GoMarkets; have you faced any problems recently with this broker?

I heard they abused many customers; and took their deposit.

I've used trade4hapi before, I'll vouch for him. He's a genuine solid guy.

I don't use GoMarkets,I use CFHMarkets and Forex.com which he recommends,both good.
I know he has a CFH PAMM.And most of his trades are follow trends, not anti-trend,I have
watched carefully.

I can confirm GoMarkets is a total scam. They took all my profits because they did not like the profits my strategy was porducing . They bet against customers, and when customers make interesting profits they make worrying losses. The profits had several months old but they went after profits anyway ! They take money from they customers direct, no warnings and freeze your account no matter what, if you have open positions or if you intend to open new ones and dont even bother to communicate to you some action from their side is going to be taken,

I was with goMarkets since 2010 but regret a lot to have made business with them. Another important thing: Forget regulators, they dont protect traders. In this case the regulator says it has nothing to do with the problem. If you have a problem you are lucky to have some kind of arbitrage possibility, but a regulator will do nothing.

For EAs I always prefer brokers that mimic as close as possible vendors trades. In this case I am with Thinkforex which has been trading like vendor's acocunt.

The market conditions are such that the most convenient is to close all and go to vacation. I don't imagine to any robot that could be a net winner with this type of volatility. Knowing when to trade and when not to trade is an important part of the trader skills.

betowm; there are robots that makes money in this volatility. I run my own EAs that is profitable every month since the start of the year.

however I confirm that there are not that many profitable robots for sale. Most commercial EAs are like donkeys; they get to walk in the hills; but once in a while one of them falls from a cliff. You just have to switch donkeys as they die.

what a pity! Can you at least tell us something about a construction of a non-donkey EA? I mean not the principles, but i.e.: take EMA14, when in extreme, check the situation with volatility, or so.
thanks in advance for your kindness

I think the fact that the author has neither felt the need to update the results for this system, nor shown up to either modify or comment on it after it's recent poor performance is the last straw for me.

I'm out guys, I'm just lucky I have other things in my portfolio that have offset these recent losses.

Best of luck to the people that carry on with it. I'm sure in time it will recover but the recent drawdowns are now too horrific for me to contemplate using this EA on my account in the long term.

Best regards Steve

Steve, thanks for sharing that with us. You have been always a FGB defender and your move I think is a important signal to the rest of the community.

I hope Myfxbook hasn't abandoned FBG...maybe that's the reason why we haven't seen any updated performance.
