Dear @yaherna

This EA works on all MT4 supported brokers.

Please try to select a broker with less slippage.

MQL.me Expert Advisor trades all the sessions but it does not open a new trade on Fridays.

It does not use martingale, hedging or arbitrage strategies.

The EA trades on EURUSD pair. It usually opens about 4 trades per week.

The maximum open positions at the same time is 2. The second trade would be opened if the first trade be in loss for at least 33 pips. The SL for both positions would be set in 200 pips from the first position. This is emergency stop loss and the EA usually close the positions before that.

Yes. It calculates the lot size based on the account balance and input risk.

For example if your account balance be 1000 $ and you set the Risk factor to 10 then the trades lot size would be 0.1 standard lots.

We use Risk 30 for our live test.

You would be able to recruit more customers if a 1-month subcription were offered, too, so subscribers could gain confidence with the EA by running their own backtests and forward tests before commiting to a 1-year deal.

Until then, would it be possible to see the results of a 4-5 years backtest with linear (i.e. fixed) lot sizing and 2 pips spread? Thanks!

Dear @FxMasterGuru

Thanks for your comment. We will consider your suggestion.

About the back test I should say that this EA has been designed and optimized based on recent (last 2 years) tick data. The market behavior changes over time so the back test results for 4 or 5 years ago does not necessary is a good factor for analyzing the EA current performance.

You may see the back test result for 2014.01.01 to 2016.04.01 using below link:

I agree that a longer backtest probably would not reflect the current potentials of the EA so well, however, it would give an impression about how the EA would have acted in occasional extreme market conditions which are more likely to happen in a longer time frame. In other words: a longer backtest would give a better idea about the potential DD impact of a bad scenario.

Although such a backtest may not give the published optimized results, nevertheless, it would give an implied assurance to a subscriber that the EA is not likely to crash his/her account, as such a crash would not have happened over the past 5 years.

This is a trade copier which delivers trades excuted by traders to your account .It is not automated EA.The vendor already explained on his website.Backtest is no use
There will always some good opportunities , just don't give up

Dear @johntrung

Thanks for your comment.

MQL.me Expert Advisor receives the signals from our server. This makes us sure all clients would have the same trades as our main account.

Our master EA is completely automatic but our analysts decide about the trading sessions and also may limit the trades direction. They also take care about the market news and apply emergency exit if necessary.

@johntrung

Sorry, but I don't understand your logic as the vendor DOES SHOW a 2-year backtest report on its website.

So why would the vendor show a backtest report if there were 'no use' of it...?

@MQLme

Unfortunately I have to ask this 'unpleasant' question from you, too: What is the use of showing a backtest if your 'analyst' decides about the trading sessions and may limit the trade directions...?

These decisions are significant non-algorhithmic components of a strategy and probably based on SUBJECTIVE factors, otherwise they would be a part of the EA's algorhithm. Correct?

I am sure that you would also agree that these SUBJECTIVE factors may have major impact (+/-) on the EA's ACTUAL performance.

In view of the above the shown backtest's predicitive value (of future performance) is questionable, although it looks good as a marketing tool.

P.S. If the EA had performed so well in backtests, WHY ON EARTH would you involve the infamous greed & fear based 'human factor' which is known to be the demise of otherwise successful strategies...?

@FxMasterGuru

I completely understand your concern.

The back test shown on our website is related to master EA and there was no human interposition.

Although the back test result is good enough but we still monitor the market and apply necessary limits when needed. It is because the market changes every day and there are always new events.

Publishing the back test helps the traders to study the EA strategy for money managing, stop loss points, take profit points, maximum open positions and average number of trades. It's not only about the profit or loss.

After all I agree with you and I should say the best idea is to follow the live test of the EA. We try our best to keep the performance.

I was interested in this as an EA, but not as a trade copier, with human intervention. I want human emotions out of the equation, and also don't want to pay for 12 months access to an EA to find it a trade copier which can be turned off at anytime without warning. Perhaps with a monthly subscription option maybe worth trying but not with 12 months upfront payment.... good luck.

Completely agree with Ozzie. These are my same exact concerns and probably of many other 'window shopper' traders here on MFB.

@MQLme

Please consider running and marketing an EA version only (i.e. a version without human intervention) with added 1-month subscription option. You could already count on 2 subscribers, Ozzie and me.

Offering a 1-month subscription option would also show that your service is here to stay on the long run and you are confident that your customers will be renewing their monthly subscription. In contrast, offering only yearly subscriptions carries the hidden message that your enterprise wanted to cash in for the whole year in advance because the strategy is unlikely to deliver long-term.

it would be very good if it is not a trade copier.

also will you consider to use it on different currency pairs so we can have more trades?
