Your post made no sense whatsoever. Speaking of dark shadows, please do speak up and not be one yourself and reveal to me what your own user name is on Donna Forex? You obviously are a member there. I'm sure everyone would like to know. Your ethics are clearly the ones at question, mr seller of prated software.

Attached a tick data BT for GBPUSD with the EURUSD sf (spread 1.5 pips). Clearly the sf need optimization. Have also runned a BT for AUDJPY but results are very bad. It is impossible to think that a sf created for EURUSD will work on all so different pairs, including the JPY ones

Frank, GU BT shows only 4 trades for 2015 with 3 wins and 1 loss. Your FT had more trades during the same period for GU: like on 02/03, 02/05, 02/10 and 02/11. BT should've picked up these, right?

Yes Frank, you can make it expire after a couple of weeks, make sure it runs only on demo accounts, protect it with a dll etc etc, right?
That would require much added work for nothing. I'll come up with something better

Ok, that would be much appreciated, thanks !

Hi Frank. Could you please answer my questions...

- What is your stoploss on the EU file you are using on the demoaccount on all pairs? I noticed a GJ trade in the history that was in a 200 pips drawdown! Dont you use stoploss at all? See attached picture.

- Do you ever interfere with the trades on the demo (manual closing)? Or is it completely hands off?

- Could you start a real account so we can see how this EA is doing under real trading conditions? It is hard to spend any earned demo money :-)

This demo(forward test) is using the EURUSD setfile for all pairs!

This BT was after new settings specifically designed for GBPUSD

These settings from the BT are now hardcoded within the EA ( version 1.1). I will run another account with these optimized settings for comparison.

Any backtest that I provide from today will not match trades from the forward test because of different setting until a new account is setup and running the setting from the BT.

RevEnginePro will still have the option to run any setting that the user wants, but now the EA will include optimized setting for each specific currency pair.

Even though REP follows the Daily trend, there are times when the market can rally against for a few days before the Trend filter can adjust to the change in the trend. This can of course be changed to follow the short term trend by changing the MA timeFrame Setting.

When GBPJPY started to rally I increased the Orders to 5 , accepted the drawdown and waited patiently for the basket to close out.

@swefx - Read the comments above. This was the first time making an adjustment manually. I also reported the change within this discussion.

Donna Forex is a great community as far as i have experienced it. However their promoted EAs have all been useless so far (Robin Vol, Remora, and the Donna Award winning Volatility Master Ea whose vendor dissapeared shortly after)
and plenty others.

RevEnginePro is 100% my code besides the HighLow indicator that is Free from 2006. RevEnginePro is not a pirated copy of RevTraderPro. It would be impossible to give out a version to others for backtesting if it was.

I reverse engineered both RevTraderPro and VortexTraderPro by following systematic rules. The exactly same method that a trader would build/create a system. It is not easy and it requires a lot of time, dedication, trading experience, and coding skills to pull it off.

@mythostrading - Please go mod Donnaforex, and leave myfxbook community alone. We don't care what you have to say about synergyfx. There are other brokers worth using, synergyfx is not one of them. If you took the time to read my posts you may understand my point clearly. I am not a DF member, never have been and never will. Why would I need to when all systems link back to myfxbook for reference? To avoid wasted time in FX forums, I only follow the results of trading accounts. I have nothing more to say to you and I'm not sure why you insisted on coming here to vouch for donnaforex and synergyfx. Neither vouch was needed. Your comment even enforces my analysis even more by you saying

'' I dont believe that it is a coincidence that EAs perform better on them. I think theor performance is superor, especially with their new Hybrid accounts''. - https://www.myfxbook.com/reviews/brokers/synergy-fx/147217,1 - Synergyfx No commission accounts since 2013 reveal there is no ECN at work. It is just their business model. Also Hybrid accounts were introduced in Feb 2015 and not available since the Commercial EA pop up shop concluding it is irrelevant to the actual discussion between synergyfx and the EA's running in house for commercial deployment.

I'll once again quote the words from Synergyfx for a final statement

'We at Synergy have the skill sets to manage the 'edges' of our clients exposures, which has enabled us to change the way we think about the service and the pricing we can offer you''

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/synergy-fx-responds-to-traders-first-to-market-with-highly-anticipated-hybrid-execution-model-290960931.html

If any trader reads the risk disclosure documents when opening margin accounts, it would say that you can lose more than what is in your account. Illiquid markets is the risk that someone has to take when trading a real market on ECN. A lesson learned for most traders and brokers, use leverage wisely and don't trade illiquid markets. Protective stops are only as good as the liquidity on the other side of the order. It goes on and on.

IRevTraderPro backtest aren't profitable over 5 years, and results from Jan 2013 to present are barely profitable across the basket of pairs despite the profitable results in the forward test.

or this one

then our forward test will be amazingly profitable,

Optimization finds specific market conditions and can filter out trades. From Dec 1, 2014 - Jan 25, 2015 = 14 trades , 2 losses 12 winners 2.6% gain 0.5 % Drawdown

It was an error in how mt4 calculates TimeCurrent(). I was mistaken of its accuracy and I have fixed the problem. I found out that TimeCurrent() does not reflect real time but only the last server time ( relies on the last tick time from marketwatch quotes).

Version 1.1 Released
Includes 5 optimized setting for Major Pairs including GBPUSD, EURUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD, and AUDUSD
Price 249 Euro for 1 Real + 1 Demo account , Existing customers will receive version 1.1 with optimized setting today for free.

Version 1.1 now includes the setting within the EA, which means you don't need to load setfiles any more. All you need to do is input the Currency Name into the 'CurrencyPair' parameter and the EA will load the setting automatically. I've also added 3 more features, instructions in the manual.

You can still use any setfile on any currency pair that you have created with the RevEngineProBT version!!! You only need to load your setfile, then leave the 'CurrencyPair' parameter blank.

What's the link for the new BT version? What about FT? You said you were going to do something better!

Btw, price went up already? Would you honor the original price for the folks who tested and provided feedback on the existing version?

@goode - Internal logic will close a bad trade, this is an external parameter that can be turned off if you like. (CloseOnOpposite).
@fxdad - PM me, I will honor the 199 for anyone that posted in this discussion before the version 1.1 release. Also, I won't be issuing BT_v1.1
