After running the EA live for six weeks on all pairs at 2+2+1+1+1+1 I have subsequently dropped all pairs but GU and EU and running both at 3.

Will see how this rolls over the next two months, like others I got burned by the JPY, not enough to kill the EA, but it did hurt profitability (for the first time since starting).

I used the EA on 3 different accounts. The first one I started 2011-11-14. Later I added 2 other account each with about € 2.500. In average I have 4 pairs per account, in all I have the EURUSD and GBPUSD, the other pairs are spread over the 3 accounts. One of my account is hurt by the JPY. I do not understand how the AE determined the lot size. For the buy EURJPY it takes the following size 0.01/0.01/0.01/0.03/0.06/0.09/0.12/0.12/0.09. The first 3 are closed now each with a loss of about 600 pips. What I do not understand is the size of the last one. I was expecting a lot size of 0.15. Do anyone knows why it took 0.09 instead.

all of their support have gone. there is also not any online support. and Ivan also said they will send out the updated EA for trial several weeks ago, but until now, no information. they sent email to ask me to recommend the EA, I hesitated to do that, for Dustin, I want to recommend, but for their service, I donot want to recommend.
Live support is available on our site, I'm personally on-line and ready to answer your questions. Live chats are available from 9AM till 5PM Eastern time aside of that there is always email - ticket support. We're trying to answer at all requests within 24hours, right now due to excessive amount of work response time might grow

As for the new version - there was a delay in this, why? I think our decision makers should have a better reply for this. Right now its planned to be released till the end of this week. Hopefully this will happen as planned.

New version has been released - I installed it and it won't verify my password, so I now have MT4's running open trades with no EA. Another great piece of work GP.😡

Just ran the updater, had to re-start MT a couple of times, took a while to authenticate. As they said in email it's essential to close all MT platforms. I had a problem with the updater not working on a demo acc. - copied the new ex4 & dll files from Toms ea folder or the succesfully updated MT platform to the one which didn't update (deleted old files) then re-started & it updated to new version. New files can be identified by date - 1/12/2012 for TomsEA.ex4 & TomsEA.dll

Since 9th Jan when I turned my risk back up from 1 to 2 on live account I don't seem to be getting any new long positions added since 6th Jan on eu or gu since last lot sizes of .07 on both pairs. New shorts seem to be working ok though. My demo which I left on risk 2 through holidays is adding new longs though. Seems like when you increase or change the risk it disrupts the orders process somehow. I expected the ea would just resume adding positions normally.

Thanks for the pointer littlemax, I followed your advice and got 1.89 updated, but it is still rejecting my email and password and not authenticating. And support is dead until 11PM Australian time...

That's strange, glad something at least partly worked for you but still no good, I had no problem with authenticating, a few error messages during the process. Did you try to run the updater again from start menu? I also am waiting for live support - just sent a message about my issue with no new long trades - have you encountered this when changing risk level?

Can't say I've noticed this previously, but I'll take a closer look after they fix my authentication issues. I'm running the Mirror Trader as well as MT4 instances, and haven't really had too many problems up until now.

The updater is very messy though, that's for sure. I made sure all instances were stopped before starting. It's a shame they don't invest in a 24 hour staffed helpdesk...I am nervous as hell that open trades will go south without the EA countering as it is not authenticated.

Just had a call from Daniel at FTD. He looked into the problem, somehow my password got corrupted. He changed it and now the EA is running again.

A huge thank you to Daniel for calling me at 9PM EST (USA time) to fix my problem. That's what I call great customer service.

Hi Crane,

See the instructions below in the email they sent & link for settings instructions - hope it works ok for you - remember to close all MT platforms first!

 Please follow these steps to update your EA and see these new features on your account.

v1.89 Upgrade Steps:
1) Close all MetaTrader platforms
2) Go to your 'Start Menu' and click on 'All Programs', then 'Toms EA'
3) Click on the 'Toms EA Updater' in the menu
4) Choose 'YES' when asked to shut down the executable

**If you have any MetaTrader platform running it will not update correctly.

The next time you log into the MT4 platform it will look for further updates and you might be required to close MT4 one additional time and reopen it for all updates to take place.

New Features:
1) Added an option to have the EA active or inactive
2) Added a Max DrawDown feature
3) Added other Max DrawDown items to support this feature
4) Cleaned some additional backend coding

For those who's got error while installing updated version of EA try to do next:

close out all MT4's go to MT4 installation folder and run file that's called 'Tom's EA updater.exe' than start MT4, in case you will get this error again,reboot PC and try again.

Method that's applied by Max will work aswell

Hi EveryBody,

I start use live Mirror Tradency from 07.12.2011 , with 3266$, 2 pairs Risk 10%+10%, later added one more pair = Risk 30%, 11.01.2012 added one more pair= Risk 40%. I realy like how work Toms Strategy. MaxDD = 2,55% , Daily = 0,7%. Now open 18 pos. -380$ and it is Ok. I tried also TomsEA on live , But with 6 pairs and too small balance for it and shure balance disappeared, but it is my falt and it is Ok. I do not recomend to use EUR/JPY(and aud/nzd) at all at beginning and without a test. And USE ONLY MICRO LOTS !!! as mentioned in support!!!

Hi Guys

Just tried the update, now its stating still 1.88 version, no smiling face cannot unattach or place on new chart a complete mess. Very Very annoyed. sent ticket with all these open trades. The dll files look like they updated but when i restart mt, it just shows version 1.88 still, any ideas, Support as normal is not there

Hi Chrissav

I had a similar problem this morning. What I did was locate the TomsEA.ex4 and TomsEA.dll (in TomsEA folder in c:\Program Files (x86)) and copy them to the EA folder on each MT4 instance you are upgrading (.ex4 to experts folder and dll to experts/libraries folder). Obviously make sure your MT4 instances are not running.

Restart MT4 and you should see the TomsEA Updater window appear, then the EA change from 1.88 to 1.89.

Thanks for your reply. I've checked my files and the ex and dll in Toms folder are the same as in my meta trader (latest version). I've managed to re establish the 1.88 version but unsure what to do next. Wondering if they may release an upto date version without the glitches.

Concerned if I try to update again I will have to go through the whole reinstall just to try and esatblish a connection with the old version.

I do realy like this ea, but i am very annoyed that support did not anticipate the problems we are finding and have left us to our own devices.

Looks like new version 1.89 is on FTD website for those who want or need to start from scratch - not sure what happens to existing trades if you uninstall old version and/or re-install using the new setup file though - careful in case it orphans existing trades! Perhaps Ivan or Dustin could tell us the answer to this question?
