What are the best parameters for Bollinger Bands trading currencies?

I am using the default setting of BB, and I’m comfortable on it!

Bollinger Bands are the best indicator.
This is the only indicator that can predict future.
Default parameters are already good.

I just use the default settings and I am pleased with the results. I've seen no reason to change them.

BB look like they are great in hindsight but I find that they suck for actual trade entries. Stick to price action

I agree with you; but on the rangy session, it works really great!

I really prefer the part that come right after a BB squeeze. => BB expansion, breakout, strong price action.

I agree with you; but on the rangy session, it works really great!
You don't need trend lines to figure out the channel of a range when you have the BB indicator on, true.

The "best settings" settings depended from the time frame.

When I was a newcomer I was using Bollinger Bands in demo account, but didn’t get maximal result that I did in demo.

what you do this way is to guess! And with guessing you will not reach to the end you wish.
In order to find the best inputs for any indicator you need professional optimizer to calculate the best inputs for the indicator you want to use. For this purpose you can use EA Stuido in EA Forexacademy. Select BB indicator and all the rest entry and exit conditions and run the optimizer with predefined acceptance criteria.
It is important also to upload the historical data from your broker! That is essential! Make sure also to use at least 200 000 bars if you with to trade on M1, 100 000 for M5 and 50 000 for the higher time frames. That way you will avoid your strategy to be over-optimized. I have already some experience with this software, so do not hesitate to write me any questions.

May I know your time frame please? Because, it depends on the time frame.
