The Retail Prop Shop is an organisation founded in April 2013 by 30 yrs old Benjamin Monchablon, a french private banker based in Geneva, Switzerland. Since graduated in 2007 from Marseille university with a Master degree in wealth management, Benjamin have been trading forex for his own account and managing other people money along his work in different alternative and long-only positions in swiss private banks like Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) or international ones like HSBC Private Bank . Through his years of experience in the industry, Benjamin build a vast knowledge around multiple investement topics like money management, global macro analysis, market microstructure and orderflow trading. The strategy employed can be defined as a short-term (read intraday), discretionnary global macro strategy with strict risk management rules. The strategy edge reside in superior understanding of macro forces moving the currency market, exploiting market inefficiencies (stop-hunting) and insider informations gained from large bank dealers contacts.
