Having always been fascinated by the concept of using money to make money, I have traded commodity futures, stocks and forex for the last 20 years. As a trader with a small amount of capital to work with, the forex market is most appealing to me because I am able to diversify my investment capital over a wide range of currency pairs, even with a small account balance.

I am a swing trader, holding trades for anywhere from a couple days to several weeks, closing half of each new position at a pre-determined profit target and trailing my stop on the remaining half of my position to take advantage of big moves when they occur. I use a small trade size (2% to 3%) on each position and diversify, spreading risk over 20 to 40 different currency pairs at any given time. I close losing positions quickly and reduce risk by tightening my stop loss as trades move in my favor.
