RTX's Pratt & Whitney Canada Inks 6-year Fleet Management Deal With TAAG Airlines
(RTTNews) - Pratt & Whitney Canada and TAAG Angola Airlines E.P., Angola's state-owned airline, on Wednesday signed a six-year Fleet Management Program agreement. Pratt & Whitney is an RTX Corp. (RTX) business.
The engine maintenance services cover the airline's PW150A engines which power TAAG's fleet of De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 regional turboprops. The agreement allows Pratt & Whitney to tailor coverage to meet the airline's operating environment.
The agreement also includes Pratt & Whitney's proprietary oil-analysis technology and its FAST diagnostic and prognostic solution. The solution captures, analyzes and wirelessly sends full-flight data intelligence to the customer within minutes of engine shutdown.

RTX's Pratt & Whitney Consortium Succeeds In V2500 Engine's Test With 100% SAF
IAE International Aero Engines AG, a consortium comprised of RTX Corp.'s Pratt & Whitney and others, has successfully tested the V2500 engine with 100 percent sustainable aviation fuel or SAF. In a statement, RTX said the V2500 engine, which currently powers the A320ceo family aircraft and the Embraer C-390 Millenium, was tested at MTU Maintenance Hannover, Germany.

Japan Exports Rise Most Since Late 2022
Underpinned by weaker yen, Japan's exports grew at the fastest pace since 2022 in May despite the fall in sales volume, official data revealed on Wednesday. Exports advanced 13.5 percent on a yearly basis after rising 8.3 percent in April, the Ministry of Finance said. This was the fastest expansion since late 2022 and marked the sixth consecutive rise.
