I bought EA from one of the guys here that approached me,

Have only exchanged a few mails with Adrian. Never had any business with him but his responses were fast and pretty accurate for me to get a good grasp of what he was offering. I didn't buy the EA as I was researching various ones at the time, though I liked one which could match my own risk profiles. That's that. But reading up here his explanations, they seem to make pretty good and far better sense than angry rant of someone who didn't even lose money. From what I understand Adrian made him over 50% gain with his EA and he didn't even fully pay for the service - assuming bot...

Bob, I have been reading your comments with somewhat of an interest in your ideas, although not subscribing to your idea. You might be right, you might not be right. Being inquisitive and questioning are traits of a good trader. I am among, probably, the majority of people here not convinced in your idea. By no mans to discourage you, but you need some more evidences, some more examples, some more other ideas as to how this new global language will make it better for the Earth or be used within the United Nations. Curious to hear more.

Frankly speaking, from my experience and from what people have told me, native English speakers find other languages relatively more difficult to learn than non-English speakers learning these languages, precisely because English is so wide-spread and spoken by many, previously thanks to the firepower of the British empire, and now the American dollar and the internet. So I find these comments by the non-native English speakers quite more interesting.

This reminded me a bit of something very awesome from George Carlin. Here is something to go back to when you think we are a serious threat to the planet, have a look and (re)consider ;)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tncnWp67wQI

Not having any particular language in mind might be a better idea to start with - start from blank and incorporate all kind of different elements. I wish you success on your endevaour. It sure will not be an easy project. And like you say traders can benefit from it, much easier access to information and information is power. But will they really benefit just from a single language? That would assume that the language would convey correct information. But will it necessarily mean what it says just because everyone can understand the meaning. A language is backed by the culture(s) behind it, s...

Have you looked at Esperanto. There were also other international auxiliary languages too, as far as I know Esperanto had the widest following. You might have looked at it but here you go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_auxiliary_languageIf it is in any way a motivation (or not), George Soros' father was apparently an Esperanto speaker. Wonder if that had any effect on Soros being such a successful trader.

I absolutely agree more pairs = more opportunity. What I'm saying is the higher the number of pairs you are trading the less concentrated your trading becomes, unless there is some very good reason, way better than a small daily swing, something like a great opportunity ahead. @johnnycash What I'm talking about is more of long-term trading, far longer than 1-day time-frame. If you trade way too many pairs in a very short intra-day time frame wouldn't the chances be far higher you would get hit at a SL on a pair or your NAV will go down because there will be too many unpredictable...

If you are inexperienced or new you can't hedge. Of course you can't hedge 1:1 on a FX portfolio! And what kind of an idiot is going to go for a such a massive hedge in response to an assuming large trade so that you gonna get badly hit on the NAV. Doesn't make sense. Thought you can get some rough hedging still even on a FX portfolio. As for the 15 pairs, I meant trading it all the same time. What's the point of dipping your toes in 1 meaningless trade a month? And again even if you follow a code it still makes no sense trading 15 pairs when you can focus far more on less pair...

@tolgupde Trading so many pairs shows lack of concentration, like others say. You can always do it, but there will be so much randomness that I can't see what good it's going to be trading so many pairs. Say you are trading CHF crosses, you will trade EUR/CHF and USD/CHF, and if you trade another cross you will center around 2-3, max probably 4 pairs. What's the point of trading so many, you will divert too much of your time onto other markets, just do one thing and do it well. Unless of course you are hedging or find some amazing opportunity/idea to move into more pairs. there cou...

Got me curious and I checked my trading history. So far I have 21 currency pairs traded but only 10 different currencies. I mainly trade major currencies with a few quick trades done in NOK and HUF.

Stumbled on this today and found that on average FX-focused hedge funds have a mind-blowing Sharpe ratio of 1.1 even though with the decrease volatility in FX lately and their profits are still generating a Sharpe ratio of 1.1 compared to before when it was 2. http://www.euromoney.com/Article/3311261/Category/16/ChannelPage/8959/FX-hedge-funds-underperformance-to-reverse-as-macro-trends-shift.html"Although the lower volatility returns’ profile of the hedge fund sector in general – an average Sharpe ratio of 1.1 and a high of 2.0 during the past five years – has indicated...

Again, for whatever reason you can think of. Buying pineapples from Mozambique, for example, will make you trade currencies.

FX pairs can move for whatever comes to your mind. War, peace, oil prices, inflation, M&A, bonds, equities rally and what not. For example, you could have somebody buying bonds of another country, converting money, while this would not necessarily pass through the spot FX, it will affect the FX market too.

His English language is alright, essentially he is a technical trader, not an English instructor. And his results demonstrate that.
