You should get into the habit of closing positions early or minimum stop loss, most of the data is Euro bullish, best not to fight with the market.

Its the same what you see in chart but more complex. It's all price points in certain period of time. If you just started it's going to be complicated for you. Stick to traditional candlestick chart. You will learn later

Do any of you think that the upward movement may finally be over? I am debating whether to short.

The way it's rallying it could reach 1.18 next week without much effort.

Thing about scalping you have to be able to change your mind in an instant ,good training for trading larger time frames.

True. It's necessary to have very quick reactions and to be very adaptive if you want to scalp.

That does make scalping very intense and stressful - maybe not the best thing for a newbie

it does make you very much aware of fake outs and refine entry points,I cant think of any kind of trading that isn't intense and stressful for newbies except demo.

I haven’t even discovered if I dislike some pairs because I have not started trying out some pairs. I only stick with EUR/USD and GBP/USD and is just fine with the combinations. I do hope I can diverge into some other pairs soon.

Some people thrive on stress and pressure, others fail completely. It depends on the person.

Best is to study professional the forex markets and instruments, candles and patterns and then a method to predict the future movement of a index value of a instrument like EUR/USD, I guess... The stress is in the amount of study materials, hours of webinars, etc. Not in setting a trade and profiting.
Don't follow trends! Predict them.
