For started as a get rich quick scheme for me, then developed into a passion but as the profits are still small (to none!) it may just become a hobby.

It's a drug it's an addiction, not hobby!!! 😈
Forex can be a hobby, which can be profitable with the right and competent approach.
When I joined this market place I took it as a casino and tried to make money very quickly . as a result fallen a great loss due to lack of exact trading knowledge , it would be great if we take this market place as professional things. Otherwise we will be loser.

Forex trading is not easy at all for the traders who are particularly newcomers even for us traders who already passed a long time in this volatile trading place. I been earning good in Forex trading after four years trading in Forex. but I can only manage until now to earn just 5% profit each month.
I agree with yo

Forex is not my hobby, I am spending here more than 12 hours in a day! In addition, in my live trading I’m following all of terms and conditions of a pro trader! But that’s doesn’t mean, here I am expecting any unrealistic profit! Right now my monthly target is round 10%, that means yearly target 120%, quite healthy yearly target!
Yes, that's how it is

Same experience from here as well! I also tried to make quick money & faced the same scenario as like you! No doubt, Forex is a long term journey!
For many people it's real hobby on many possible things like they do for it anyway. And then we really can go on for whatever things it may change. Lastly we really can go on how to make it full time, but I assume you will not do that lately and totally, Thanks for that matter!

Basically, pro traders are not the hobby trader! They have a serious game plan! But hobby traders expecting unrealistic profit in Forex!
For beginning, it might seem as a hobby to people, but as time passes, this hobby, in most of the cases, does change to a full time thing. At least, that happened in my case.
I mean it's oviously safer when it's hobby. But for me it's a full time job

For work, this brings a profitable income.
Forex is for me not only a hobby but also a platform on which there is an opportunity to make money

Same with me, I'm always on the charts. Sometimes I can't wait for the weekend to come!

Yeah certainly it's a hobby and it's an addiction also
I don't think forex can be just a hobby. It's not that easy to pay not much attention to it.
What's wrong with not taking forex too seriously? Well, in the sense that they don't devote all their free time to it, trade only sometimes, test in the end. It's normal, I do not think that all active traders started to take it seriously at once, without previous experience.

Many of my acquaintances, who are now successful traders at the very beginning of their careers, treated trading as an entertainment with which you can sometimes make money... ...or not. And only with time began to form an understanding that you can almost always make money, if you understand what the market is and know its laws.

I don't have many friends who trade every day. Almost everyone trades only at a certain time, someone trades during the quarterly reports, someone works on certain news, someone just invests in stocks, etc. I don't see what's wrong with that.
