Leverage is very important for retail traders like us. Without leverage you need huge capital to gain good profit percentage as a pair moves very little in terms of currency. I don't think that much about leverage proportion as my risk percentage is very low.

Leverage is an investment strategy of using borrowed money—specifically, the use of various financial instruments or borrowed capital—to increase the potential return of an investment. Leverage can also refer to the amount of debt a firm uses to finance assets.

gildlef posted:No doubt the probability of profit increases if you use a good leverage but for absolute beginners, it is safer to keep it low. In my experience of it, keeping it to 1:10 or 1:20 is pretty convenient and safe. The right choice of broker is also an important factor. Anyway, I’m looking for recommendations so feel free to share, thanks.
The greater the amount of leverage that you use and apply on your capital, the higher the risk you are likely to assume. That’s how it works.

Leverage is important but only if you know how to manage risk.
I have an account M4Markets and they offer leverage 1:1000. It's good if you want to open a big position and can be monitoring what happens so that you dont risk losing everything, but maybe not so good if you don't know a lot about risk management.

Yes it is, you can’t open big positions with actual balance unless you are a big billionaire like Bezzos! I found this as a fantastic tool but if used with proper knowledge as this can wipe off your account balance too in times of unfavourable trade conditions.
