What are the most volatile commodities and traded instruments on the MT4 charts right now?
This is important because if a currency pair cannot even produce 100 pips or lets say 50 pips in a day it may not be worth trading in connection with its overall movement.
This never use to be an issue. Everyone knows that the currency markets have slown way down from what they used to be.
The GBP/USD used to do 300 pips a day avg in peak years of the housing bubble and even after that it was doing it. But when FRANKK DODD, and various other USA draconian regulations came into effect it eventually shifted or displaced al lot of traders to redirect that money to wallstreet.
Its nearly impossible to watch more than one currency if you really wnt to effectively calculate an anylize your currency. Watchin two or three instruments makes thorough analysis nearly impossible or very challenging when you need to be acquiated with a trend within a trend on various timed charts.

I trade the smaller time frames but only on high volatility days which would be high value announcements. I usually see the JPY pairs especially USD, GBP and EUR moving 100+ pips on these days.
Forex is about the journey not the destination...
