what do you mean by lost control on trade ?
just remember one thing when the trade is open try not to restart or close the MT4 other, you can then lost control on your open trade.
It might close the order no matter is in plus or minus.
thats why FGB recommended to use VPS server. If you can give FGB 24/7 internet connection/power then its ok.

On my experimets, after trying MANY EA´s, this is one of the best... at least so far!
I suggest: look the live history of FGB and let FGB do it owen works with default settings... prepare some lost trade and some drawdown as on history shows... look one or two months and then make your deciison to follow or drop out!

I think you can realize if FGB lost the control of a trade because in the forexgrowthbot information label it says zero while you still have opened orders

i am using this settings:
log >> 0
initialsl >> 500
trailingstop >> 5000 (set it large in order not to trail)
threshold >> 5000
the others are default
these settings are for 5 digit broker... for 4 digit brokers divide by 10

but the EA runs on eursd M15 chart
if we applie any EA on our EURUSD chart the current EA will be deactivated. as u know one ea on 1 chart is allows
so ... how should it work? if we applie the EA on (for example) USDCHF chart can it manage all pairs ?

Anyway the bottom line is that it works awesome with the default settings- at least with the version I use 1.1. I get all the profits of FGB with almost none of the losses. Almost every losing day for the past month has been a winner for me. As far as I'm concered, FGB should put this type of advanced percentage-trailing in their EA. There is no reason to have all these losses lately if you have a good trailing stop like what Compuforex has done. Just use the default settings and put it on a one minute chart. I have my trail start at 15 which I think is the default. I tried 10 but I think that is to close and you will get stopped out more often. Any more the 15 and you risk not trailing at all and will lose the same as FGB.
After a 15 pip start trail, it will then trail using percents. The higher percent (default 80) the longer the trail or the farther it will be from the current price. 80 % gives FGB room to ride the big trends without stopping you out on minor reversals. If you have the version of FGB that includes the source code then I think that means that you can add your own code. If that is the case is would be very easy for Mr. Compuforex to convert his ea into a library and then we could import it into FGB. Then FBG would in fact have the Compuforex trailing built in. THEN someone could test it in the MT4 Tester and see what settings are the best. The source code for 1.1 has been provided so anyone that knows MQL could easly make it into a library. I have been thinking of that for one of my own ea's, but the logic is pretty simple so I might just code my own. Also, I would like to see a break-even feature which I already have coded, but it would be nice if Compuforex and FGB would add a break-even to stop these stupid losses that should not happen if FGB would add some simple logic.

I don't recommend alter anything on the bot..Ιn the begining i thought the trail would work just fine but trades go many times positive then negative again positive and so on.... so don't be panic! get the losing trades and wait for the gains....

just a question.. i just see now, that even now the FGB has an Open trade..

my bot it is not working or they updated something? on the status it stays version 1.3 and Active

today FGB had two trades.i use Fibo group and i had both of them in exact price as FGB .
i thinks the most relible broker for this EA is fibo group. low speards and good performance on all experts.
but my computer was shut down for no reason, when i turned it back on EA closes the second trade imidiatly.
maybe ur Internet connection had a problem in that time.
i'm pretty sure if we use vps we will have no more troubles like this
