400 bucks for an EA without quality BT or money back guarantee and a hidden trade history?? Jeees 😲

Yes my dear $400 for this ea and i dont provide moneyback guarantee.Back test is not possible because its a pair of two ea's.One is for entry and other is for manage and close trades.

Thanks.

It cant be rocket sience to program the two EAs in one and than you can backtest...
No money back guarantee is a real NOGO in your case, especially bc of the hidden history..

Good luck anyway!

Hello..To all clients..

I have updated Fxtest-entry ea to newer version for better entry.

If you want customers, I suggest opening up history. Unless you have something really-really bad things to hide, there is no reason not to. On the other hand, if you show history and it is OK, then you could count on very generous income.

When it big drawdown He stop to update his account.
Now I think it's a lot drawdown. Believe me.

It is grid trade, when the price is going against the postions, add up with the same lot. He is very lucky so far.

I saw your history a week ago, when the price goes against your position, it open another position every 10 or 12 pips just like grid trade. I do not care whatever you call it basket or grid trade.

When it hit the stop loss, I think it takes at least 2 or 3 week to make up the loss. If it is not true Please do not hide the open positions. So far you are so lucky.
When something fishish a lot of traders hide a lot of information in myfxbook. if not, open all info now!!!!!!

How do I know???, My friend run the EA now. it opened 4 long positions and big draw down on NFP day. it missed 7 pips to hit the stop loss today. I do not know what will happen on coming weeks.
If he does not have open position now, Maybe the EA works different for every brokers or he stopped the EA to trade.

Thanks for letting us see the history. I'd buy the EA now. But will never join a signal service.

If you decide to start a signal service start hiring people to handle all the support. It's a bad business decision in my opinion.

Cheers & good luck

It's a good idea to go with a copier. I have several signals coming from Simpletrader.net and their support is fantastic.
FXtest did the absolute best he could to help me find a payment processor to buy his EA but I live in the US and it did not work so I could not buy. It is not his fault. Hopefully he goes with Simpletrader's copier and I will sign up right away. Otherwise I would like to thank Fxtest for helping me with the payment processor.

The results look good, but it is still a GRID STRATEGY, i.e. a ticking TIME BOMB. So far it has been simply lucky.

Sooner or later ALL grid strategies encounter HUGE drawdowns. It is just a question of time. CONSIDER it carefully before you spend your hard earned dollars for it.

It also explains why the seller has not increased his investments in this 'excellent' strategy. And why he is commercializing it... (Would you...??? Probably not, if it were really so good.)

He knows it well... How...? Obviously his backtests have already warned him about the recurring DOOMSDAYS with huge drawdowns. Can you face such huge drawdowns with a large investment. Probably not.

If not, it is just a 'toy' EA/strategy to be played it. And why would anybody spend money on such expensive toys to risk his hard earned money...?

******************** HOW DOES A USUAL GRID STRATEGY LOOK LIKE? **********************

Look at this recent REAL money GRID strategy heavily commercialized (in its better days) on a popular website:

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/NickMcDonald/pings-ea-nicks-account/467875

From January 22 through May 10th everything was 'peachy'... Everybody was happy... Subscribers were lining up for the signals through SimpleTrader. Then the inevitable DOOMSDAYS have started...

So NOW you know what to expect.

You have been warned, so you cannot say in a few months that you 'did not know'... That 'nobody told you' about the high risks and potential downside.... You will have no excuse then. Except for your own naivety... You have been WARNED...!

ummmm- looks like the risk is clearly visible to everyone. max trades 4 each with a Sl of 100 pips, so work out your risk accordingly. That pings EA does not have a SL - I dont see the point comparing EAs - Who is not telling anyone about the risk, it is mentioned numerous times in the thread. So why are you coming here and saying, 'now you know', and in CAPS ? hmm

Same here. as I understand it the max trades are 4 with stop of 100 pips.
Though I am wondering if each of the 4 trades will have the hard stop or is there a smart exit if the trend did not hold up,
Also is there a time-out between baskets of 4 trades? This is the only thing I am wondering is how many time 4 trades will be opened to retry the grid.

Hello, Dear FxMasterGuru
What is your problem.
If you cant accept others good performance than its your problem. Its very poor way to make business to blame only others without any reason.

I told you its not grid strategy. its basket trading strategy.do some google search to know the difference between basket trading and grid trading. So there are no comparison between pings ea and fxtest.Pings ea is grid martingale ea. Risk settings is depends on trader. You can trade with low risk also.

Some people access internet only for blame others. They dont have any other jobs.

Thanks.

If you know the strategy about fxtest than you know that its not compulsory that ea hit stoploss if not reach to profit.EA can close trade on negative retracement to reduce risk and drawdown.

1. Thanks for the advice. Before handing out such 'wise' advice as 'do some Google search', you should do it first by yourself.

I looked it up on Google. And guess what? Your strategy IS a GRID strategy base on Investopedia's definition: 'Placing buy and sell orders at certain regular intervals above and below a predefined base price. Such buy and sell orders, generally spaced at 10- or 15-pip intervals, create a trading grid.' (Link: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/grid-trading.asp) So now all we know that it is a GRID strategy. That is a start.

Just to clarify what is 'basket trading' - which is entirely different - here is the definition also from Investopedia: 'In order for a trade to be considered a 'basket trade,' it must typically involve the sale or purchase of 15 or more securities' (Link: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/baskettrade.asp) Your EA trades only EURUSD, so it simply does not qualify.

Based on your comments you don't even know the definition of your EA's style. But you definitely have a big mouth 'spreading the wisdom': 'Do some Google research'. Or you are a simple liar hoping that nobody would care looking it up on Google. But of course, if you still do not agree, you can request a correction from the Editors of Investopedia.

2. Sure, sure... It is always comforting not to discuss the WORST CASE SCENARIOS, because it might be too painful to face them.

I am here as a defender of newcomers, as I have seen too many GRID strategies to fail. Just show me even one GRID strategy on MyFxBook which could survive even one year without major (>20%) drawdown. I would call >20% DD as 'major', as subscribers of ANY strategy start to curse and panic when hitting 20% DD. So to evoke such emotions, a 20% DD has to be 'major'.

If you have not stopped reading, I give you the lightest version of the worst case scenario:

With a GRID of 4, each with approx. 100 pips SL = -400 pips (+/-). 1 lot per grid = -4000 USD.

The current risk setting of this EA is 1 lot per 10k USD. So by hitting the stop loss (SL) with the entire grid ('basket') of 4 JUST ONCE, a Stop Loss would wipe out 40% of your account, creating an INSTANT -40% DD. Pretty painful. (With a 10k account you would lose 4k at once, with 50k your loss would be about -$10k).

And it is not all! With 60% of your account left intact you would have to make 70% profits (60 x 1.7) to make it back where you were before the DD. So after losing 40%, you have to make almost twice(!) as much only to get back to where you were.

But lets not to forget about the psychological impact of losing 40% in an instant. Would you have courage to take the risk of another -40% potential loss right after losing almost half of you account? Because it can happen. Really. With a strongly trending (falling) market it can happen even right after the first SL.

First just visualize and feel the pain of losing 40%. Would you really still have the trust in the EA and courage to continue...?? Facing another -40% with the next grid ('basket') even on the same week or the next day. Why not? What would prevent that? If you say 'yes', well, then probably you have not yet experienced losing 40% of a large account in an instant... or you are simply afraid to imagine how it can really feel.

Hi Guys,

Even if this looks something like a grid cum basket trading strategy, I think this EA is relatively safe because it trades at overbought and oversold levels. Just my two cents... (I have not bought the EA yet).
