Welcome to the Forex Harvester live account. Our robot was launched on January 11, 2010.

Please note the following which affected the results in the first 5 weeks.

Week 1: missed trades due to transfer of account and change of password.
Week 4: missed trades due to change of broker server.
Week 5: missed trades due to a server bug in the robot.

Going forward, all issues have been resolved to the best of our knowledge. These are the realities of trading live with Expert Advisors.

We are available directly for questions at [email protected] and welcome all feedback.

Regards,

Mark & the MT4 Trading Team

Unlike most robots, Harvester was created, developed and is supported directly by us.

We are totally transparent and our clients always come first.

Hello Phil and thanks for posting. Harvester only trades once per week at market open. It trades any gaps that occur on up to 5 different currencies.

The large hard stop loss amounts are deceiving because the robot uses an internal take profit to get out of trades with a profit.

The goal is to get in and out during each session, thus eliminating large DD's.

The back tests are accurate and though large DD's are possible, they are not likely.

Is this an account with GallentFX? Micro or Mini account? Are the settings the default settings?

Thanks Mark and as always...

Hi Dale. Sorry for the delay. For some reason, I was not notified of this post.

Yes, it is Gallant FX and a micro account using default settings.

Thanks for asking.

This past session was very slow for most of us due to the market being very choppy.

We had also changed feeds at Gallant and ended up with no trades. It would have ended up being a EURJPY trade for just a small profit.

We are using this account as a sort of guinea pig to find the absolute best feed for best results.

The account is in profit and that's all that matters in the end.

Thanks Mark for the myFXbook idea as it compares to MT4stats.com that publishes the statements every 5 minutes.

Hi Dale. There were two break even trades over the previous two sessions.

One reason for lack of trades is that we are experimenting with different feeds to find the best one.

The other reason is the market, plain and simple. Harvester trades the gaps that occur between Friday's close and Sunday's open. These gaps occur over 80% of the time.

The issue is the size of the gaps. If they are small, there will be few or no trades with a small take profit.

When they are large, there will be multiple trades even with the same currency.

One challenge we have is reminding folks that Harvester only trades 4-5 trading days per MONTH by design. If it traded each trading day, the results of course would be greater.

Every strategy has limitations. What we know for sure is that profit is profit and slow and steady wins the race.

Just had a 'DUH' moment and realized I had changed computers so the results were not publishing!

My apologies for that. The account is now up to date.

For the record, others using this same feed are at least getting more trades. We are looking into why.

Mark, Here on Myfxbook.com it lists Harvester open trades as 'private', do you do this for some reason? I would like to see the open trades here if that is possible. That would, I think, give transparency. Is that your thinking as well?

Dale, thanks for pointing that out. I am still learning how to use this great program!

Check it now. All trades should be visible.

Hello Mark,
It seems to me that currently open 3 trades on this account for EUR/USD won't bring success to Harvester.
I have the same three on my life account and I'm afraid it will bring me a huge loss and kill all my profits for the last 1.5 months.
What is your opinion and recommendations? Maybe to close it manually and decrease potential loos with SL more than 1.37?

Hello Peet. These open trades are normal. Harvester trades gaps and the gap on the EU has not filled yet.

The market is always RIGHT. The filling of gaps carries a high probability. In other words, it is not a matter of 'if' but 'when'.

That is why we must be patient.

All trading comes with risk. When we allow emotion to interfere, often we make bad decisions.

That said, it is YOUR money and you must always act in your own best interest. We recommend allowing the robot to work but manually closing trades is entirely at your own discretion.

Mark, The Robot seemed to trade more this week. Was the trading a result of the feed or the robot? Is this the best feed that you have found for Harvester or will you continue to test the feed at GallantFX?

I saw the same thing peet was observing and I hope peet did not close his trades in a loss

Thanks again Mark
