Didn't work for me on IC Markets ...and their broker has a score of 1.8 out of 5.
I have tried scary things before, but that balance graph going from $90k to $60k (a loss of $30k) in one month looks just too scary.
Best of luck for those that are winning though.
Perhaps it didn't work for me because I trialled it during its "down cycle"...?
Like I said bf this is a great strategy that needed a few minor tweaks, now, how much you risk is up to you in the end. This is not hardcoded by the EA.

...or it was the settings I used.
Either way (broker or settings), the performance sucked for me: over 13 sizeable losses in a row - I couldn't continue such a strategy!

Well, you did pay 500 USD for it... and you got in a really bad time. So I understand the decision.
Anyway, I would in the other hand let it ran in a DEMO and make my own decisions. (or follow someone else DEMO ;) ).
Its really clear when the trades will come, just follow the News Calendar and you will see.
So, keep an eye on the DEMO and make your call whether is a good trade or not.
Now, for a lot of ppl letting the EA run will be better than trying to manual trade it.

Hello @BluePanther ,
indeed this EA has lose in a row very often, and the trading log is almost the same as my own.
My broker is thinkforex, just for your reference.

If Jarod updates this EA to prevent such losing streaks perhaps I would reconsider purchasing again.
I can only hope.
@gftcfd It would be good if you could share your system as there do not seem to be many independent tests of this system (Birt is the only one I know at the moment)

@BluePanther
They released new version few weeks ago, and add a parameter:breakeven.
I am not sure if it's helpful for you.
I once quite after its 6 loss in a row, and re-use it this week I got 23% profit.
For your reference.

Matt, you could enter the number of orders to open per currency pair in the MaxOpenOrders. Default is 3, I set it to 1 because my account small.

Just scale the risk down, run it at 40% of what this account is and that recent drawdown period would have been about 12%. Average monthly return would be about 18%, which is still an outstanding return.
If you reduce the number of orders or use the breakeven feature you're fundamentally changing the strategy and won't necessarily get similar results to this account.
Best regards Steve

Hi Steve B,
First I was scared when I see 12 trade taken by Keltner pro of each 1 lot in my account. Then I tried to lock profit by changing stop loss. Return and risk need to be balanced, but we are greedy so leave it to EA to work with designer's strategy. With latest change in EA I am expecting good return, but scaring for the number of trades being taken is a concern!

TSF

Hey Steve,
I thought you didnt give tips ;)
Keep the number of trades , lower the risk per trade , is that simple...
How many pairs are you trading ? consider that all of them will trade for all trades, use that to calculate the risk and there will be no problem! ... this is really just basics...
Oct was an extraordinary month... dont expect all months to be the same! also , just basics...

I don't give tips on what to trade.
This is advice on risk management. People generally focus on the upside in trading, which is back to front. You need to focus on the downside. People experience far more emotional impact from negative events than from positive ones.
That's where your psychological focus needs to be as a trader, managing the negative impacts.

I dont think thats the case... as I said there are a few things you should take care bf going into a BO... and this EA only take care of a few of them.
If you would add a few others you can avoid losing on fake BOs.
And its no magic, analyze the losers and see for yourself. Its not about locking profits.
ps: I meant my version as in the one I coded myself based in this EA strategy. Not a new commercial version...

I'd be interested to see how your own performs. Quite often with systems it's not the quality of the entries but the quality of the exits that makes them. I'd be interested to hear how you are handling those.
Best regards Steve

Thats is quite true. It made 118K coming out of 10K in the last 40 days.
but I could have been more if I havent poked my hands there and stopping it for winning more ;)
the time I was out in US and out of reach it made more money alone eheheh.
There's a LOT of magic in the exit too. the entry point is for the most (now that we know ;) ) obvious.
Cheers,
Vlad

Hi Vlad,
What are these few others to be added to avoid fake BOs? How can I get your coded version to avoide fake BO?
