When you load the EA, the default settings are for E/U (they are also the recommended settings). The only thing you need to change is the money management and GMT Offset. The EA is optimized for E/U so there are no 'default' settings for G/U, optimization needs to be done. You can pick the best results depending on what kind of trader you are.

The highest profit I have seen for G/U was when setting the time filter to start at 11:00 and end at 8:00 (trades 21 hours a day). Change the RSI oversold to 31 and overbought to 73, and change the Stochastic oversold to 32 and overbought to 73. I've achieved over 90% win ratio in backtest with these settings (running from 1/1/2000 to 12/31/2009). It did hit a rough patch in 2008 but all other years were very profitable.

Check that, the settings above are incorrect for Cable (G/U), here are the correct settings:

StartHour: 10, EndHour: 7
RSI OS_Level:27, RSI OB_Level 73
Stoc OS_Level: 33, Stoc OB_Level: 67

thanks Dan!

I guess i'll run the default settings that come with TrendOSOB so that will have less trouble tweaking it :D

i'm glad to hear that :D

because for one moment i thought why is it so bad the win:loss ratio rates for the GBPUSD :)

at least i know trendosob is performing well for trendosob :D

why don't separate the two EA on 2 separate accounts? :)

I have two EAs on this account to make sure they play well with others. 😉

I'm about to setup a TrendOSOB demo where it runs on multiple pairs.

hi Dan Lewis,

The backtest on trendosob, uploaded via myfxbook strategies section, seems very profitable using default settings only with friday end time set to 16:00 hour.

May i know what settings are u using on this system as it seems unprofitable for a long time

Thanks!

I start with default, then I set FridayEnd to 12:00 and I set TradeSunday to false.

On my live account, I've had exactly 1 S/L each calendar month from July, double digit wins each of those months ... it's up ~400 pips in that time. Trending markets really help! ;-)

The demo account runs 24/5 with standard time filter, it 's taken some losses on Friday that I've avoided live, which is nice.
