Euro area construction output grew for a third straight month in February and at a stronger pace, mainly led by civil engineering works and rebound in building construction, preliminary data from the statistical office Eurostat showed Thursday. Construction output rose a calendar and seasonally adjusted 1.8 percent month-on-month following a downwardly revised 0.2 percent gain in January.

Germany's economic confidence strengthened more-than-expected to hit the highest in more than two years in April as investors anticipate the economy to pick up over the coming months amid the global recovery, survey results from the think tank ZEW showed on Tuesday. The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment surged to 42.9 in April from 31.7 in the previous month. The reading was seen at 35.1.

Eurozone industrial production recovered in February driven by the rebound in capital and durable consumer goods output, official data revealed on Monday. Industrial production grew 0.8 percent on a monthly basis in February, Eurostat reported. This was in contrast to the 3.0 percent contraction seen in January but matched economists' expectations.

Eurozone lenders intend to tighten conditions for loans to firms in the second quarter and they expect a fall in demand for loans from enterprises, the bank lending survey results from the European Central Bank showed on Tuesday. Lenders plan to moderately tighten credit standards for loans to firms and maintain credit standards for loans to households in the second quarter.

The performance of the dollar has seen a modest improvement, while equity markets exhibit a slight softening, influenced by the Federal Reserve's resistance to early easing and renewed attention on US regional banks.
