When I began trading I was fortunate enough to trade along side several high net worth professionals - one of whom trades a 20 million dollar account and had experience trading on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Through their mentoring I learned which skills they possessed that the average trader doesn't.
Nine years and over sixty books later, I've developed several patterns that I trade using their principles of money management and trade execution.

Entries & Exits:
I combine swing trading and order flow identification for my entries and exits. My favourite patterns to trade are based on the balance and proportion studies of Alan Andrews (i.e. Pitchforks, Action-Reaction Lines, and Expanding Pivots). Once patterns are identified I back test them to confirm that they work. I then create a plan on how to best trade the pattern and the levels of risk for the trade.
Money Management:
I apply risk through three tiers: low, medium, and high. I assess the probability of a trade and assign the appropriate level of risk to match the odds. If the odds are too low however, I wait for a better opportunity.
