U.S. Construction Spending Unexpectedly Inches Higher In September
Construction spending in the U.S. unexpectedly showed a modest increase in the month of October, according to a report released by the Commerce Department on Tuesday. The report said construction spending inched up by 0.2 percent to an annual rate of $1.811 trillion in September after falling by 0.6 percent to a revised rate of $1.807 trillion in August.

U.S. Manufacturing Index Indicates Modest Growth In October
A report released by the Institute for Supply Management on Tuesday showed a slight increase in U.S. manufacturing activity in the month of October. The ISM said its manufacturing PMI edged down to 50.2 in October from 50.9 in September, but a reading above 50 still indicates growth in the sector. Economists had expected the index to dip to 50.0.

RBA Hikes Key Rate By 25 Bps; Rates To Rise Further
Australia's central bank raised its benchmark interest rate on Tuesday, for a second consecutive meeting and repeated the guidance that rates will be lifted further based on incoming data. The policy board of the Reserve Bank of Australia, headed by Governor Philip Lowe, decided to lift the cash rate target by 25 basis points to 2.85 percent, the highest since 2013.
