Mature analysis, agreed. In the past, rates being jacked wayy to high haven't worked, who knows this time around. Sometimes the hardest thing to do when there is no clear avenue to tread in the market, is to sideline. Well said; my last words on this, Forex is not a competition; between traders and banks or traders and brokers or traders and other traders.It's a constant moving market of money, that's all. If a trader is smart, they simply follow the fundamentals and not just the indicators and they can grab some of it. Manage it and they can keep some of it...Follow the money...save the money.

Well, there is a GOD, we didn't create ourselves. But, for Forex vs Gambling. It's like a Chance vs Risk. Difference? I agree with testing a system on demo and applying it live, I use the demo periodically for that purpose, recently I have been trading only live, works out well. I advise to anyone attempting making money trading, take $100, open an account and turn it into $200 and keep it consistently, 6mos-year, then your ready to take 5k into 10k and so on. Turning 100 into 200 is not easy, nor is the other, but great place to start and find out your real skill level without breaking the bank out of the shoot.

Well said dxnation. My partner and I had that same agreement going in and with both of us experienced traders, it's a great partnership. If you look at the demo here, it's practically a mirror of the real account we have, not just a mask demo that some try to use to lure investors. Depends on broker; rule is; if you can do it on demo, you can do it live, it's the same, only real money and no second chance. Some say the pressure get's to most, probably so. For me, the demo was harder until I traded it like a real account. Too easy to go too large on trades and you don't get a true reading as if it we're live. Trade it as such and monitor your progress. You'll need lots O pips. Easier to have more capital and need less pips, but I know many don't have a lot of capital and lots of pips takes lots of time. That's the big issue.

Simple; last night prime example, I was commuting home at 11pm CDT US when the BOJ doubled up on everything. You catch at trade like that, place the max you can with no limit, but stop about 10 pips, and let it rip. Then you have more leverage to boost on other trades. A trader friend was on the trade but but only got 40 pips out of nearly 400 pip run. That's why I rarely put limits on trades if Im staying with the trade, it's burned me like that. True, only if a demo is treated as a true live mirror. If you go ape with large lots, then it's not realistic; unless you have that kind of capital. You can get various demo types 5k-10k etc that gives it more reality. Plus it keeps the mind sharp when not trading for real in down market times. Depends on how you use it. Works for me both demo and live, I don't post live cause I have my investors and this is my workshop.C~

Sure it can be done, with a great trade, but likely not. 2 months more realistic. If you can do it on demo, you can do it on real. Emotions, which play a major part in all trading, is the key. Traet the demo as if a 2nd real account instead of just play territory and give it ago. I like being on edge, esp with a 100 USD. If I had time, I would try it, may try any way. Good test.

If that were the case, then nobody would profit from trading, everybody would be ticked off and the brokers would be out of business, the industry would not exist and we wouldn't be able to withdraw the funds. Laws prohibit brokers from scamming traders for their own benefit and several have got busted in the past. Much better regulation now in the US. Where are you from sir? Do you profit any from your trading? Not sure I'm following where you are coming from.

Sure there is; Forex is just the instrument}'s you trade. I also trade stocks as a diversification. It also is an instrument}s; and your broker is like your distributor, as with/in any other business; or supplier. True, everything in life is a gamble; esp when it comes to money. No risk no reward, if you don't play, you won't get paid. If I took 10k to a casino and expected to return with only 5k net, for me, it wouldn't happen. Why, cause casinos are pastime PLAY, if you do win big, coolers make sure you give back at some point. Very good thread; I have a demo here for testing purposes which is why we use them. IMHO; you have to trade with the market, not aganist it, or you will lose almost every time. Case in point. I have a system I use very effectively, and I tried to, in testing by advise of a fellow pro trade friend, to hold my positions longer, and scale in the stops once in profit, and limit to tp at the highest point. I totally agree my friend. Simplicty; IMHO, is the key to all success no matter what you do. Work smarter not harder, the old saying is true. With trading, you spend a lot of time and practice to engulf the encyclopedia's of information, sort and import only what truly works then execute what works everytime.I apply that to my everyday life routines.
