LOL...and all on demo........When I had a demo account I traded up to 40% in 8 days with less than 2% drawdown....11 trades at very low risk and using less than 1:10 leverage. I did not win every trade (70% win) but did have a nice 3:1 reward/risk ratio. 30 pip SL and 100 pip TP. 20 trades and no losers? Are you using a stop loss?

You must've read my mind because I was thinking about this. But I mean is it truly effective? When I add SL and TP to an order on my platform, it goes straight to the server, so even if the platform freezes or my computer fails those points are still in place. What happens if the EA stops working or platform freezes (preventing EA from working).....suddenly now you have no SL at all.

I read that ATC is a IB for FXCM....which as you may/may not know was recently fined $2 million for slippage malpractices. Any comments on that? I still might give them a try.

I have more than $5K and I do not need hedging. The thing is some ECNs charge spread + commission. I would rather pay one or the other. If they charge commission then why do they need to charge spread and likewise.

I'm U.S.-based so trading style isn't really an issue. We've got restrictions galore including 50:1 leverage. I don't trade robots. I don't trade news. Just a simple intraday system. But I prefer a broker with low-spreads yet high reputation. Someone who isn't going to take my thousands of dollars and run away. That's why I like Oanda. They're pretty simple.

Recommend best ECN? I've looked at commission brokers before but most have spread also, and their spread is not any lower than my current broker's spread. I'm at OANDA btw....I like them a lot but sometimes I think they stop-hunt.

Today I just had to scream. Placed a Sell order. Stop loss put at 1.38 EUR/USD....first mistake was putting it at round number (wanted to move it, but alas went on lunch break instead). Of course you know what happened to EUR/USD after that. My target was 1.3660. Just over a 100 pips in an hour...which would've made my day. Keep in mind that this wasn't a "news trade." I had previously placed a Sell Limit order last night and it was only recently triggered. Had nothing to do with FOMC.I sat there and argued with my broker that the High for the hour only registered at 1.37982....

I actually trade on 1:10 leverage (most positions 1:5) and forex is my full-time job. And I started with $1500. I do on occasion risk more by employing 1:20 or 1:30 leverage, but anything more than 1:50 is really foolish and risking too ...

Maybe so, but I have taken trades where I thought the spread would be covered but after trade execution completed that was not the case. The thing is, taking only 1 pip profit is not really enough breathing space and I have yet to see a martingale that survives the long-term. Have you tried taking 2 pips, or perhaps 5?I might be somewhat biased, as even my worst winning trades usually bag 50 pips or more.

Correct.No, open orders placed on FX Trade do not aggregate to MT4, and I am unaware of any method that would allow it to do so; however, open orders placed on MT4 will aggregate to FX Trade.

I am not 100% sure about the upper/lower slippage limits...Oanda's MT4 does not have slippage section...and I never use it even on FX Trade since quotes are usually quick and accurate enough. But I do know that if you place a limit order on FX Trade then it is stored on server and once it activates it will show up on MT4 as open order regardless of initial parameters. Yes you can trade whatever you want in FX Trade, and it will just show up as fractional in MT4. For example, 150000 in FX Trade would show up as 1.5 in MT4; 10000 would show up as 0.10, 1000 would show up as 0.01, etc. MT4 al...

Looks good except you're not using SL or TP. In my opinion, for manual trading using one is a must. But, at least you are not over-leveraging, like many newbies make the mistake of doing. I also recommend trading demo with the same amount as you will be depositing live. If you trade on a $10,000 demo account but can only put $1,000 into a live account then your results will be very different. I have learned this from experience.

Yes, MyFxBook will collect all previous history, but only from your MT4-enabled OANDA account. In other words, if you have traded on a primary account and then create a MT4-enabled sub account then only trades made on the MT4-enable account will aggregate.
