Emotions and human psych plays a role if all you play is unrealistic amounts of demo money with very high leverage. Open a $1000 demo account 50:1 - see how far can you get. Of course you can't duplicate the same performance with real money when your demo account has 1:500 lev with $1,000,0000 balance. My demo account is my signal account. All my strategy runs on it. I have a real account with the same balance mirrors it. And then I have an E*trade forex account which I mirror (manually) from demo signals because it's different platorm (marketscope II)All works flawlessly. I lose a pi...

No EA will work month after month, year after year. There is no such thing as 'set and forget' it makes money itself. DOESN'T EXIST!May work for a while but it won't last... guaranteed!Now that doesn't mean EAs are bad and useless. They are great "companions" to manual trading.

DD is the most importing parameter on a performance sheet. Trader could have 100000% Gain with 100% win but usually with over 40- 50% DD. That's a disaster waiting to happen. That's a clear indication that the trader is keeping his losing positions open in a high leverage account. Ask yourself what if the position never comes back.. ? It's game over for everybody. Low leverage + Low DD + Consistent and steady gain + high win rate = Good trader...

OP's strategy is good if you can't watch the market all the time or have trouble controlling your emotions. Let's face it, most lose because of emotions. I never use set SL. SL moves with the market action. Even my TP moves with the market. But I have the luxury of watching the market when I am in a position because this is what I do for living. 😁I am not a big fan of 10 small loses and one big win. I like to win all the time with minimum DD possible. 😇

I have always used a $ amount for the day. Stared with $20/day then 50-100-300 and $500. As my account grew, so did my confidence and daily target. I need to get paid for my time and efforts. It's a job. You don't go to your boss and tell him "oh whatever you feel like paying".. or start the day with "let's see how much I'll make today...."It's all about the $. I am not here to stoke my ego with 'pips or percentages'.

I am using FXCM demo and real both mirror each other. Both the same. No difference whatsoever.
