How many pips should a reasonable trader make a month?

Balance $100, first trade at .01 per pip and you lose 100 pips, therfore you lose $10. remaining balance is now $90. your next trade is at $1 per pip and you make just 25 pips, meaning $25. add this to your remaining $90 and you now have $115, therfore 15% up whilst you are actually 70 pips down! good example of this could be a martingale sysytem. hope this explains in a simplistic manner

wow, what a volatile day today! several losses unfortunately. still, onwards and upwards as they say. Remus, due to the account being a pamm, hotforex haven't provided an investor password for me to verify the account. so confirmation can always be my official pamm in the hotforex performance listing.regards

i like the idea indeed. it's always too tempting to just go live and turn up the risk, but the markets have a funny way of tripping you up. i will be watching, and i totally agree, 5-10% a month with low drawdowns is a good return. it's what i aim to achieve with my pamm and personal account...... compounding is the seventh wonder of the world!
