Thanks Rihan. I always wanted to try to keep it on my system. However, I couldn't think of a way to be alerted if my system went down, electricity went out, or my internet connection was lost. How do you set up myfxbook to send you the notification?

If/when to form a company, as well as which type to form, can be very complex and is unique to each person. Finding a reputable CPA, who specializes in trading, would be the best person to contact. They can learn about your particular situation and recommend the best configuration to protect you.I used to try to do it all myself. It was agonizing and I never knew for sure if I was doing it correctly. Paying a CPA who specialized in trading really allowed me to focus on what I like... trading!

Thanks Hand... I'll take that into consideration.That being said, my original questions still stand. Has anybody used a broker provided VPS before? How was your experience? Would it be worth it to pay the extra money for a reliable 3rd party VPS?

I have noticed some brokers offer a free VPS service with their accounts. Obviously, this is under the condition that a minimum account balance is maintained. Has anybody used a broker provided VPS before? How was your experience? Would it be worth it to pay the extra money for a reliable 3rd party VPS?

I have been searching forums, and have found a lot of "You should use hedging to protect against changes in interest rates" posts. However, I haven't been able to find anything related to HOW to hedge. Is anybody aware of any hedging techniques?The only one I can think of is to find a highly correlated pair and opening a position. If price movement moves against you, the correlated pair should move in your favor, reducing your loss.Thoughts?

I am on Oanda's MT4 platform right now. They allow for mico lots. You may have to type ".01" in the volume drop down.
How well do you think i should manage 300$ ?

Manage your $300 account the same way you would your $300,000 account. Determine the amount you are willing to risk to your account on a given trade (1-5% is the general recommendation, depending on who you talk to). I personally do 1.5%.Then,1. Determine your stop loss level2. Use a calculator like at forexcalc.com to determine your position size.Especially when starting out, risk management is the most important piece to learn. This way, you will theoretically never lose all of your account. As it grows, you can add funds as well.

My first mentor recommended looking for 200 pips per month. However, I would say that kind of goal is highly dependent on how you trade. If you are taking trades off daily charts, banking 50 pips every day may be pretty tough.As far as pairs to follow... I stick with the major currencies:EUR, GBP, AUD, USD, CAD, CHF, JPYAnd find the pairs that suit your system well. I personally use:EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, EURJPY, AUDJPY, NZDUSD, USDCHF, EURCAD, CHFJPY, GBPCHF, EURAUD, CADJPY, GBPCAD, GBPAUD, AUDCAD, NZDJPY, EURNZD, NZDCADHope that helps...
