I have your provider on one of my accounts and for some reason your last signals did not get through. Only one did and it is loosing. I have 8 positions open to you.

This confirms what I said about providers not having a starting balance! Also, finally, all ghost trades have been removed and the ranking looks a lot better!

I want to add that in zulu IMO, the %DD does not play so important role, because providers dont have an initial balance. The most important stat I think is the DD in pips (meaning the total loss in pips the provider has suffered from both negative closed and open orders!)

This is the correct formula. The thing with zulu is that the providers dont have an initial "balance", so at the start you can only calculate %DD based on the PnL chart, meaning that a provider can have 0 or 100% DD when he starts. Also, since a provider might trade from a demo, he can leave negative open trades forever, with no impact, but since zulu calculates the open order DD, this has actually an impact on the provider performance. With the new advanced search you can filter and show only good providers, I use this and not the zulu ranking!

The calculation formula they gave you is the correct one to calculate the %DD. The difference is that zulu calculates a %DD for open orders as well, which IMO it is correct, as most providers leave many open negative trades

Which broker and providers do you use? Usually its the broker that messes up, I had to change mine and it is much better since then!

lol fly on the wall has done it this time! I think its the end of him and all of his alt. accounts for good! Thats why the 100% success strategy never works!

I think this new alchemy feature is a brilliant idea! The only negative is that you cant see the capital each follower has. Because it is different to trade with $1000 and with $100,000 :)

I think he has a point...Saw it with fly on the wall when one day he was #18 the next he was lik #250 and when he started trading went back to #18. This has its goods and bads. Good is that you loose rank when you dont trade, bad is that you may do random, no strategy trades so you dont loose your ranking (provider wise).

Uhm I hope you dont represent RAS or something 😎Seriously now, forex IS like playing on the casino, you never know how the market will move. Only about 20% actually win and the secret of the success is good money management, so even with zulu or RAS or zip, if you cant manage your money, again you will loose

Its like you both say, the ranking does need improvement, in fact I dont really take it into account, the providers I use are not in the top 10, i ve already suggested how to pick good providers and I stick to this strategy myself. Also, I dont know if adding a 30min delay will solve this problem, the calculation formula just need to be changed...A thing id also like to stress is that you must be careful with your available margin and do proper money management, its not always the providers fault if something goes bad...eg dont use mini lots in a $1000 account...i ve heard of cases using stand...

Well the method I use is:-look for providers that trade from a live account (green or blue $ next to their profile)-DD in pips (not %) less than 2k pips or %DD less than 30%-average pips/trade more than 20-average trade time around 2-3hours but no less than 30mins-trading more than 15weeks-check which broker the provider is using compared to mine and look at the slippage charts.-Monthly PnL (very important IMO).Hope this helps! 😀😀

Zulutrade was the first company to introduce a service that you can follow someones signals. Then, because it had great success, other companies followed. I find zulu more reliable than the rest, but still there are many things you need to be careful with when selecting providers, such as whether they trade from a live account, how much DD they have, average pips/trade, aver. trade time, etc. Its all there, you just need to make some research and use it on a demo account!

You cant blame zulutrade for targeting the new forex players, as you cant blame EAs for doing the same! In all kinds of markets companies invest on new customers! Zulutrade for me is all about proper money management. Pick a good broker that doesnt cheat (eg. trading desk that rejects orders, slippage, re-quotes, etc.) and then try to trade slow, only allow 3-4 max open positions with max 10 lots.

I partially agree with you jagui, but you have to take into account two things1. company interests 2. implication of what you suggest in reality. I think this is very hard to implicate, the commission per trade is rather "fair" for all the sides, providers, company, followers.I still believe that it is in the interest of zulu for its providers to be good and win, so that customers wont go away and even more can join. I think every company wants this, the things is if the providers are up to it!

I cant see your point here...conflict of interest between who? Zulu and the providers or zulu and the brokers? Zulu makes their commission whether you win or loose, same goes for providers and brokers...If you are clever enough, you can understand that if as a company, they have winning accounts its better for them because they will attract more and more instead of closing accounts and getting a bad reputation...I mostly agree though on your second suggestion, one has to be very careful on which broker he will choose, it makes a big difference and I have a personal experience in this with zulu...
