Sigh.. I miss that 'edit'-button.. My intention was to say that generally it is advised to trade in longer time frames, not in the shorter time frames. Generally, 1H time frame is an intermediary between longer, and shorter time frames. This general rule of thumb is in my opinion a direct result of spread. Just plot both bid, and ask lines in MT4 window, and look in which kind of proportion the spread is related to one individual candle.

Let me clarify this statement. Mathematically, if someone opens arbitrarily equal number of trades and closes them in either 20 pip profit or 20 pip loss that results in net loss that equals to the amount of spread. So forex, from starting point is not zero sum game, it has a negative expected value. Now, as a beginner an individual has no luxury of low (negligible) spreads. That results an average spread of 1 to 2 pips per trade execution. That means a net loss of 2-4 pip per each winning and losing trade (spread is taken two times). That forces an individual to move to a higher time frame (a r...

Look at the community outlook page, and see that there are 69% profitable accounts, and 30% non profitable.Brokers state that abt. 70% are non-profitable, and abt. 30% profitable, thus we can conclude that Myfxbook traders are better than that in general.Probably this winning/losing ratio follows the bell curve, again..

I just realised that normal market fluctuations get leveled out in the weekly time frame. News spikes, whipsaws etc. Gosh! I see a reason why people in general, apparently don't use stop losses. There is a remarkable turn off for me trading with ECN or alike, in spite of low spread. Many times market makers have this negative balance protection and/or guaranteed stop loss.

Spread is the main reason. Market plays are the second. If one opens arbitrarily positions, and closes them after 20 pip loss and profit, losses equal to spread :)Other reasons are the ones mentioned above, I guess :)

It might be the FED interest rate decision tonight, and Non-Farm payrolls day coming friday.. All JPY pairs are more or less ranging all the time, and BANG! - a sudden movement.

I don't know where this does belong to, because this is a bit strategical and a bit trading system issue, but..I came into a conclusion that in/out 10h SMA, for example, does not work at all with a market making broker. In/out trading with a SMA requires a lot of entries, and exits with small gains, and if one is losing, say, 2 pips each trial it really does not pay off. So, 1 pip loss for each entry and one pip loss for each exit. Profits are going to be eroded away whilst the market is ranging. Really, SMA in trading begins to pay off in 4h/1D time frame.Any opinons on this? Has anybody ...

Rhetorically, where to look the range at?Do you regard USDCHF being currently in a horizontal range? Basically, for me it seems that it is in a range in weekly time frame. Same question to @AniLorak.
High Leverage

I agree with this. A small account combined with high leverage is a deadly combination. But alas, it is the only option in some cases. However, there really is no room for mistakes.
scalping is risky ?

There are some misconceptions about scalping.. Scalping is not holding a position overnight, or a longer period of time for a tiny profit margin and with a huge risk. Scalping is about trading in the lower time frames, such as tick level , 1 and even 5 minute time frame. Scalping with a market making broker is not possible. Correct me if I am wrong with this one.Position is to be hold for several minutes, and definitely not any longer.

Tell more about your lot sizing. In scalping I was using 1 microlot for each $100, broker's leverage was 1:400.

If you have $1000 in your account, and your broker gives you 1:100 leverage, then employing all of the leverage you can make 1 lot transactions. However, most likely you will end up losing your money soon. If you trade with 0.1 lot size that means you borrow $10'000 from your broker. In this case your effective leverage is borrowed money divided by own money. That is in this case approximately, but not exactly 10'000/1000 equalling to 1:10You need to know what you are doing, and practise with a tiny risk.High, but sparingly used leverage means that you have to deposit less money.
Brokers ban deposits from Neteller/Skrill

Thanks for the info, everybody. I guess it is most likely related to the fact, that some of the brokers are regulated elsewhere than in the EU area. It seems that those clients affected are located in the EU area. If the broker is regulated by an EU body, then it is ok to Withdraw and Deposit with Neteller and Skrill, seems. Wrong with this?

Fibo Group, and JustForex offers cent accounts, too. Oanda, too? Does someone have any experiences with them? Fibo Group seems to be Russian, as well as Exness is. For me it was not possible to open a cent account with Exness, I'm neither a Russian nor an Ukrainian.

I realised with the last FED interest rate decision that the trend was bearish before the news was released, and immediately after this news release the rates changed bullish. Also, before last NFP release the trend had been bearish, and after the news release the trend turned bullish taking some of the losses back. So the news release was not any guarantee of the continuity of the trend. The same happened with the USDCHF, at first bearish for at least last 24 hours, and then a strong bullish move, not immediately after the FED interest rate decision.Being wiser now, I would not place orders i...

@Nasrul_Swing Yes, you are right. My desire to swing trade stems from the fact that my day is disrupted every now and then, which hinders me constantly monitoring the prices all day long. I could invest more straight away, but I'm reluctant to do so yet, without certainty. My experiences, and the feedback I got from here gave me the confirmation, that it is impossible with my setup. It is completely different issue to lose a couple of hundred of bucks than thousands. Conclusion: Stick with the lower time frames, just like the @JacoAF said.

I suppose that fluctuations in price can be smoothed out by diversification in time. Right? But then again, it requires much more money than a micro account.

I'll say, because I do not have much credit on this subject, but I suggest that much attention has to be paid on the currency pairs traded. For example, USDJPY, and USDCHF seems to be tricky ones. Seems that the moves are stable only in higher time frames, say D1 and weekly time frame. That is way too slow for me, too. However, there are currency pairs, which have nice smooth behavior in lower time frames, such as H1 and H4.
