Why Most New Traders Fail (It’s Not the Strategy)

I agree. Most new traders don’t lose because the setup is terrible, they lose because they don’t stick to it long enough to see if it actually works. Same risk, same rules, even after a red day. Once you stop interfering with your own plan, things usually stabilize.
What’s the toughest challenge you’ve overcome in trading?

I’ve blown accounts on Hola Prime and The5ers chasing losses, over-leveraging and thinking the next trade would fix everything. What changed my strategy was my behaviour. When I treated trading like risk management and not like gambling, everything improved.
Leverage in EURUSD and XAUUSD trading

I would not stress too much about what number is popular. Leverage is just what your broker allows, not what you are supposed to use. You can have high leverage and still trade small and safe. The real problem is when people see 1:500 and start taking trades that are too big.
Trading is about control, not luck.

Control is everything, agreed. The only thing I would question is the sales angle. If someone is saying join today, it helps to share a track record or at least the rules.
Lot, Point and Pip: Basic Trading Units You Must Understand

Great explanation. This stuff feels small, but it saves people from big mistakes when they go live. Once you understand lot size and pips, risk control becomes much easier to keep consistent.

Profits came when I stopped trying to trade everything. I picked one simple approach and repeated it. Keeping my risk small helped me stay calm and let the results show up over time.
What are your go-to indicators for swing trading in the current market?

I mainly use the 20 and 50 EMA for trend direction and pullbacks. RSI helps me spot momentum shifts, not overbought signals.Together, they keep me aligned with structure.
prop firm passing and account management

I think prop trading is a good opportunity for those who want to learn and grow their account. Having a set of rules can save you from making mistakes and trading aimlessly. Even if you don’t win a prop challenge, it still teaches useful lessons about consistency and long-term success.
How do you manage risk during high-impact news events in forex trading?

I prefer sitting out as the market starts reacting to news and wait for a clear signal to decide if there’s a setup worth dealing with the volatility. If it’s still not clear, I’ll avoid trading. Even when I do trade during news, I keep the position size small and watch closely for any reversals.

Exactly, it really comes down to trust, comfort and personal preference.
Hola Prime

Hola Prime feels like a prop firm designed with traders in mind. The rules are clearly explained, the evaluation structure is straightforward, and the mentoring support adds real value. Combined with fast payouts, transparent conditions, and flexible account options, it’s a good environment for traders looking to grow steadily. The availability of different models, including the Direct Account option, gives flexibility depending on experience level.

This thread hits an important point that often gets missed. Bots are just executing a set of rules faster and more consistently than a human can. If the logic, risk control, and assumptions behind them aren’t sound, automation usually just amplifies the problems instead of fixing them.Where bots can make sense is removing emotional mistakes and enforcing discipline on a well-tested approach. Expecting them to turn a weak or unproven strategy into something profitable is where most people get disappointed.
Is it possible!!

You can get those kinds of returns, but usually only under very specific conditions and not for long. Most of the time it’s small accounts using extreme risk, martingale-style sizing, or lucky streaks that look amazing until they don’t. Survivorship bias plays a big role too, since you mostly see the few that worked and not the many that blew up.Sustaining thousands of percent with controlled risk over a long period is extremely rare. In real trading, slow and consistent growth with manageable drawdowns is far more realistic than eye-catching curves.

That’s fair. It really comes down to what you’re comfortable with and what’s worked for you. Different setups work for different traders, as long as there’s trust in the process.
Trading rewards the disciplined

Impulsive trading usually comes from emotional pressure. Trying to make something happen after a loss, trading out of boredom, or feeling like you’re behind and need results now. That’s why discipline beats motivation. Motivation comes and goes, but rules keep you from messing with the plan when your mood changes.

Bots get talked about a lot, but most of the time they’re just automating whatever rules you give them. If the underlying strategy and risk control aren’t solid to begin with, the bot usually just ends up making the same mistakes faster.
Risk Reward

Risk reward matters, but only if it fits your strategy and win rate. A great ratio doesn’t help much if you can’t execute it consistently or stick to the plan during losing streaks.

There are a lot of factors and most of them matter, but for me it really comes down to trust. If you don’t trust how orders are handled or how issues are resolved, everything else becomes secondary. Fees and features don’t mean much without that foundation.
Gold 16 week bullish what you think new going bullis or berish

Gold can be a good market to trade right now, but only if you already have a solid strategy and clear risk rules. The direction matters less than how well you manage entries, stops, and position size. Without that, gold’s volatility can hurt just as fast as it helps. Consistency still beats trying to predict every move.
Consistency builds wins

Quick question, are you offering signals or an EA here, or is this just a personal journal? I get the focus on process, but if you’re asking people to reach out, screenshots and some transparency matter too in my opinion. Consistency is great, but it’s hard to evaluate anything without seeing how it actually plays out.
