I am glad I stopped checking this thread..some posts would have given me cancer. Two day performance and you asking people to view your accounts. still not sure though which is worse...a demo warrior or a two day party trader.😁

Better Trade manual, i have Test a lot of EAs all BS.. Build a Strategie, Trading plan and make 1-1.5% per Day then close. Next Day same..

You are right, IF you can approach live trades (running with large funds) without emotions. Which is EXTREMELY difficult. Which is why numerous "trading psychology" books have been written and trading firms even employ psychologists for their pro traders...
Personally I cannot approch LIVE trades (especially with large funds) unemotionally. The usual "fear and greed" kicks in... So I don't even look when the robots trade... "Too scary..."
Good for you if you could overcome (or handle) these emotions! Congratulations! You belong to the unique 1%.

I know for sure that this is the right method; and as I have a quite long experience in managed accounts, (not only forex but also futures and option writing) I can say that the BIG traders work in this way.
I know well some managers and ask them many things. And I can say that 1% is optimistic, maybe 0.1% is closer to the reality.
Anyway this do not prevent me to make money, because I simply know the good managers and they make profits for me.

I agree, the discussed figure is probably closer to 0.1%. And yes, IF someone belongs to that 0.1%, the combination you mentioned ("flexibility of a trader that can read fundamentals and market sentiment + Hard rule of an EA") is probably the best.
Not having those "good managers" handy, I am left only with my "bots"...

robots have definite take-profit and stop loss thus they will burst your account (in some days or in some weeks)
but if you trade manually then atleast you will understand your mistakes and risk so that you will become perfect not robot
and then after some experience you will start to trade like robot but with all controls in your hand
have a good pips

How to trade for example news without automation...? My finger is not as fast as even the slowest EA...

By the way I'm a fan of algo and HFT..... but I also like fundamental/manual trading... all depends on the trade duration... seconds or days?

Trading news... this is exactly when an EA is a must.
The problem is the broker that doesn't fill good the order, especially if they see you're making money.
I think I'm not the only one that see ticket with a value different than the 1 min. candle after the news.

Indeed Alex, the fills at news time are precisely what defines a broker for me. They can blow the spreads really wide, fill at fictional prices beyond the 1 min spike etc
You need a genuine STP broker - that's another tricky thing to do - find one which says it is STP and actually IS STP - I've had brokers filling very quickly and at good prices only to have them cancel all my profits months later because it turned out they were taking the other side of the order all along....despite selling the service as DMA/STP!
