Hello everyone,
Does anyone know where they can point me as to a forum or indicator or something that can give me the highest and lowest US Overnight pip range for the GBP/USD?
I need to know what the highest amount of pips it travelled in a single overnight session.
Now when I say overnight, I mean overnight for the East cost of the US, not London.
Any advice is greatly appreciated in advance...
Thanks,
Bill

Is that an all-time high/low you're looking for? Or only for the previous session?

Only for previous sessions, but also, yes, all-time if possible, or at least the high/low for the past 6-12 months.
So to answer your question...yes all-time would be more beneficial or at least an average over a recent extended period of time.
Thanks,
Bill

Perhaps I am being a bit simplistic here, but have you tried the Average True Range (ATR) indicator?

But I would have to start that and forward see, correct?
I wouldnt be able to get an estimate of the range in overnight sessions for the past 6 months or so, would I?
Thanks,
Bill

Nope, just drag it onto the chart and it will show you the range as far back as your chart has data. You can set the period to 1 if you want the actual range or you can adjust it to give you a moving average.
