Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
New highs, crash, and back up like a rocket all in one New York trading session.
The bounce was much reduced for the SP500, and especially for the Dow Jones. We are getting early warning signs of a potential major top in stocks. If we experience a new low below that seen just yesterday, and a NY close below there, then this would be a very strong signal indeed.
This is not a market to step away from. Active management of portfolios is essential at this point. The current situation is perhaps setting us up for the trend direction of the next six to eighteen months
There is a great chance that was the top for this great Oil bull market since those negative lows.
This forecast is based on both the price action behavior of the past week, what a reasonable correction to the huge trend from sub-zero would look like, and, the fundamental upheaval in OPEC perhaps freeing up production. While at the same time, demand could be foppish due to the extreme prices now being seen at the fuel pump.

for sure the swings are a lot more volatile that is also due to the lower amount of liquidity so there isnt much resistance either way. This week has been much more liquid so interesting to see how NFP reacts this month
