Pound Climbs After BoE Decision
(RTTNews) - As expected, the Bank of England raised the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 4.50 percent. Following the decision, the pound advanced against its major counterparts.
The pound was trading at 169.40 against the yen, 1.2595 against the greenback, 0.8671 against the euro and 1.1260 against the franc around 7:04 am ET.
