Pound Climbs After BoE Decision

(RTTNews) - As expected, the Bank of England kept the bank rate unchanged at 5.25 percent. Following the decision, the pound firmed against its major counterparts.

The pound was trading at 1.2215 against the greenback, 183.59 against the yen, 1.1045 against the franc and 0.8710 against the euro around 8:05 am ET.
