South Korea Consumer Confidence Improves In July - BoK

(RTTNews) - Consumer confidence in South Korea strengthened in July, the Bank of Korea said on Wednesday with a consumer confidence index score of 103.2.

That beat forecasts for a reading of 99.2 and was up from 100.7 in June.

Consumer sentiment for current living standards was two points higher than in June at 91, and the outlook was one point higher at 94.

Consumer sentiment related to future household income was one point higher than in June at 99, and the outlook was unchanged at 113.

Consumer sentiment concerning current domestic economic conditions was six points higher than in June at 75, and the outlook was six points higher at 84.

The expected inflation rate for the upcoming year was 3.3 percent.
