this contest is a pain in the backside. to many hurdles to jump over.register with a cell number, like a email account is not enough. got live account to manage and code to write. maybe next time. good luck.

If you can't read the rules before joining then why are you complaining? The rules were very specific, if you don't like them then don't subscribe to the contest. Easy.

Hey dude.... it's really simple, I will NOT share my PERSONAL INFO, just for the sake of entering a DEMO CONTEST, with a very small chance of actually winning anything. First off, these contests are really just for fun. NOBODY in REAL LIFE trading trades like this.... unless you are a complete NOOB and wish to blow up your live accounts. Brokers create these contests, so they can attract the Trading Noobs and take all their money. I have a real trading account now for more than 4 years, and let me tell you it's a battle to keep it alive. I have tried these BullS*^T automated trading methods, and only lost real money, so I prefer the tested method of Manual Price Action Trading, and make REAL money, maybe slow, but I do make a profit.

So, here is my point. If you wish to give your personal info in a 'supposed-to-be-for-fun' contest, go right ahead. I have NO interest in Sales Reps driving me crazy for weeks with e-mails and phone calls to open and fund an account with them. It has nothing to do with wanting to open multiple accounts for the contest. I enter these contests to test my OWN method of trading without the stresses of trading live with real money.

Thank you for your post, but unfortunately we can not add or modify any of the contest rules during the registration and contest. There are many participants who have already completed their verification, so it would not be fair to change the rules even if we could.

Rules are freaking simple. You like'em? Good.

The one thing that you should really care about as a trader is the fact IF this broker is being REGULATED. If you were a trader.
And not, 'oh, if I win...(on top of the fact that you would win)...I may give you my id and address. Honestly...retarded!

It is like competing in a contest where the bank wants your id and address. You win and then you show up at the bank expecting your 1k-4,5k reward and the bank says, your id please. And you are shocked and talk something childish as you do here.

And for the last time. READ the fffffreaking RULES. Yes, fxchoice representive sent me some emails (I say some because I didnt really take the time to read them). I register for contest. Got my username and pass. Installed mt4. Inserted my username, pass and selected demo classic and voila. Ready. That is freaking it for demo account.
And just few days ago I got a reminder (thanks fxchoice by the way) that I need to verify because I am competing. So, I did.
I took a picture of my id and utility bill. Oh, let me tell you...that was soooooo hard. Really hard. I stretched my finger muscles.
Boom! Verified. End of story.
All this fuss about live account. Its all crap. Again, READ THE RULES. No, yes, Read them again.
And quit complaining already.
For crying out loud. hehe....Amazing.

Ok, to give some positive feedback as well since not everything should be negative: It is very welcome that EA's shall be banned to give everyone the same chance according to their trading abilities.

However, it is not acceptable to force any potential clients into signing up basically for a live account for this contest. I think if the experience with FXChoice is positive, there is still enough room for these formal steps! An offer to do so is much more likely to have a positive impact than a force ... just my opinion.

I was reading all these comments and I thought I have to reply.

I think many of you misunderstood things. You do NOT need to verify your ID to just get a demo account. It's just a demo afterall.

However if you want to enter the demo contest, you DO need to verify. Why? Even though it is a demo contest, there will be a cash reward at the end for the winners. They will not give away cash to John Doe. Period.

If winning the cash with this contest is not your goal, then by all means why bother? Just get a demo account from whichever the brokers you prefer. Less competitor, more chance for me to win.

well, it's just an address verification, no big deal, they didn't ask for card number ...

Not interested in the contest if I need to send my personal details for a contest with a demo account. You guys need to learn how to run a contest and receive good number of participants, earn good reputation which will give you a nice number of live accounts in the future. Cheers

0.01 = micro lot
0.10 = Mini Lot
1.0 = full Lot

Only commercial EAs are prohibited. If you have an EA you have written by all means, enter it into the contest.

We do need to clarify the rule regarding 'commercial robots' though. As a couple others have asked, how would they differentiate between EA's that were purchased and ones that were coded by the trader themselves....or ones downloaded for free. Does this mean no EA's at all? (I don't use them so it makes no difference to me...but this IS a good question that needs an answer.)

Here is the general rue of thumb. If the robot can be purchased, then it can not be used in the contest.

A number of EAs are preinstalled in the FXChoice mt4 platform but you do not have access to them unless you purchase a license. None of them qualify to be used in the contest.
